In the first two episodes, we meet the Barnetts, the picture-perfect family, with their three children. But this family feels a bit underserved; they want a little girl to fill their family. That's when they decide to adopt, but at the last minute, things don't work out for them. However, the Barnetts soon find a sixth member when an adoption agency contacts Kristine out of the blue and tells her they only have 24 hours to make their big decision. Desperate, they decided to take a chance on a little girl who suffers from a rare form of dwarfism. But is this little girl what she seems?
