“Hans Zimmer & Friends: Diamond in the Desert,” a concert film shot in Dubai that also includes documentary interviews with some of the stars and filmmakers with whom the composer has worked, will hit theaters worldwide beginning March 19, Trafalgar Releasing announced Wednesday. The majority of the 158-minute film will consist of footage of Zimmer, his band, and orchestra performing selections from films such as “Dune,” “The Lion King,” “Gladiator,” and “Interstellar,” in venues including the Coca-Cola Arena in Dubai and the Al Wasl Plaza dome at Expo City Dubai.
