The finale of Los Cazadores de Gringos revolved around the confrontation between Secretary of Security Ortega and the suspended officers of the International Liaison Unit, Nico and Archi. Nico and Archi were part of a team that also included Cri, Beto, and Gloria. Their boss was Temo. Their main task was to catch American criminals residing illegally in Mexico and deport them back to their country. One of the profiles Temo obtained was that of Father Terry. But instead of sending him to the United States, Temo discovered some uncomfortable truths about Sueños Sin Fronteras, Father Murphy, Joaquín, and Ortega.  Before Temo could tell Nico everything, he was murdered. Although Nico and his team were not authorized to investigate the matter, and despite being busy with all sorts of criminal cases, they worked together secretly to avenge Temo.
