2023 is going to be another big year for superhero movies. Particularly for DC, which is kicking off the year with Shazam! Fury of the gods. The highly anticipated sequel opens in March and now we have the official rating of Shazam's return to theaters. According to The Classification and Rating Administration, Fury of the Gods will be PG-13 for "action sequences and violence, and language." This shouldn't come as much of a surprise as the original Shazam! it was also rated PG-13 for similar material. You can definitely tell from the first trailer for Shazam 2, released earlier this year at San Diego Comic-Con, that this sequel will have the same goofy tone as the original. Shazam, despite some edgier jokes and dark demonic imagery, was a glee-filled, family-focused superhero comedy with plenty of well-shot action.
