 Michelle Garza Cervera's first feature, Huesera, is on the way earlier this year from XYZ Films. The film opens in theaters on February 10 followed by a VOD release on February 16. Bone Woman: The Bone Woman premiered at the 2022 Tribeca Film Festival in New York in the festival's genre-driven Midnight section and would go on to win Best New Narrative Director and Nora Ephron Awards. Following its world premiere, Huesera: The Bone Woman won the Blood Window Award for Best Film and the Citizen Kane Award for Best New Director at the internationally renowned Sitges Film Festival in Spain and the Audience Award for Feature Film at the Festival.
