David is not only a top-notch animated biblical film, but an exceptional animated film in general. The story of David and Goliath is one of the most captivating in the Bible. This musical adaptation will make its important message accessible to children while providing great entertainment for viewers of all ages. The film's opening scenes follow young David (voiced by Brandon Engman), an energetic shepherd boy always on the lookout for adventure. He finds it when Samuel (Brian Stivale) appears and, to everyone's surprise, anoints him as the new king of Israel. This news, if it reaches King Saul (Adam Michael Gold), will not be well received.
