 Batman is back and Gotham needs him! With the world trying to recover from the Joining attack, Batman is trying to assemble the Justice League as the first round of protection for Earth. While some heroes are eager to join in, courting Superman could mean Batman first has to earn his trust. When Gotham comes under attack by villains Green Arrow, Green Lantern, Hawkman and the Flash, he, Robin and Batgirl may have to seek help to deal with the threats... but there may be a greater danger lurking just around the corner! the corner! The Batman was a series that had to grow on me. The style and art of the first season was quite jarring compared to something like Batman: The Animated Series and the style and character acting went in a different direction as well. Despite the series' acceptance curve, The Batman ended up being an enjoyable show (although no better than Batman: The Animated Series).
