 Since his transition from animation to live-action, Korean writer-director Yeon Sang-ho has struggled to recapture the success of his breakout hit, the zombie action thriller Train to Busan. Since then, he's primarily worked with Netflix on a number of horror-tinged series (Hellbound, Parasyte: The Grey) and sci-fi films (Psychokinesis, Jung_E), but none have managed to recapture the perfect balance of social commentary and visceral suspense of the previous film.
