Episode 1 of Monarch: Legacy of Monsters, season 2, picks up right where the season 1 finale left off, with Cate, May, Kentaro, Tim, Keiko, Verdugo, Hiroshi, Brenada, and all the Apex Cybernetics and Monarch employees trying to escape Skull Island because the opening of a portal to Axis Mundi has angered Kong. The aforementioned main characters manage to reach the two helicopters that Kong hasn't crushed (though he loves doing that) and leave the island.  However, Kong crushes a group of unnamed Apex employees because they aren't wearing their plot armor. Minutes later, Keiko wakes up in a scan room surrounded by masked scientists and doctors. Although she's still dizzy, as her body is adjusting to Earth's atmosphere after so long on Axis Mundi, she rushes off to find Hiroshi. She manages to find an exit, and upon crossing it, we discover that Keiko is on a high-tech Monarch ship docked a few kilometers off the coast of Skull Island. Creators: Chris Black, Matt Fraction...
