 People's responses have generally been mildly positive, but many have experienced that this is not a horror movie and there aren't many scares. It's more of a coming-of-age story than a horror story, so keep that in mind. This film won the Critics' Week Grand Prize and, having seen it, I understand why. Director Amanda Nell Eu does a pretty good job in another debut coming-of-age story of a 12-year-old girl who goes through some strange changes and situations with some gorgeous, colorful camera work, sound designs, themes, and atmospheres, and a good performance by the main actress.
