 During the finale of Tyler Perry's Duplicity, a disheartened Marley talks about how the story never revolves around a single case, and merit should never be negated by a single situation or deceitful person. In the film, Marley plays a lawyer whose best friend and her husband are having a hard time getting along lately. In fact, she's very close to Rodney, so she tells his wife, Fela, she'll help them get their spark back. Marley is with a man named Tony, whom Fela introduced her to. They seem close, but Marley doesn't seem comfortable with the subject of marriage. Much later, we discover that her ex has betrayed her so much that she can no longer fully trust anyone.
