Air Force Elite: Thunderbirds tells the story of the American aerobatic team operating out of Nellis Air Force Base in Nevada, the United States Air Force Thunderbirds. We learn about the challenges faced by the officers and support staff, why they join the demonstration squadron, the fears their families face daily, and the pride they feel in being part of such a prestigious organization. I have to say, while I greatly respect officers who risk their lives and perform stunts that make you question the laws of physics, I don't think the documentary added much to what we already knew about the organization. Yes, I agree that it might be intriguing for some to learn that the United States Army has a separate aerobatic division dedicated to performing air displays across the country, but other than that, I don't think there's anything to keep you guessing.
