The Ex-Wife's season 2 finale focused heavily on how Natasha "Tasha" finally got rid of her cruel husband, Jack Warrington, and banished the monster from her and her daughter Emily's lives for good. But, you see, that's exactly what happened at the end of season 1, so why did the creators bother us with another season that literally added nothing new to the story? I understood their point. It was the "ex-wife,"  Jen, who needed closure far more than Tasha's father, and therefore she should have been the one to kill Jack in season 1. But seriously, this particular story arc could have been wrapped up in a single episode. We really didn't need four. But it is what it is, so let me break down everything that happened in the season 2 finale of The Ex-Wife and what will happen to the characters in the near future.
