Kristen Scott Thomas's directorial debut, Mother's Wedding, which she co-wrote and starred in, is a comedy-drama that takes a deep look at loss, grief, and healing. The film pays tribute to Thomas's two parents, whom she lost before she was 12. Clearly, her own experience became the framework for the film.
