 Syfy has picked up the drama series “The Ark” from “Independence Day” and “Stargate” writer Dean Devlin. The series takes place 100 years in the future when planetary colonization missions have begun as a necessity to help ensure the survival of the human race. The first of these missions in a spaceship known as Ark One encounters a cataclysmic event that causes massive destruction and loss of life. With over a year to go before reaching their target planet, a lack of vital supplies, and the loss of leadership, the remaining crew must become the best version of themselves to stay the course and survive.
