Good American Family 2025 Tv Series Review Trailer Poster

If you like good mystery thrillers with plenty of family drama, Good American Family is the perfect series to quench that thirst. In the first two episodes, we meet the Barnetts, the picture-perfect family, with their three children. But this family feels a bit underserved; they want a little girl to fill their family. That's when they decide to adopt, but at the last minute, things don't work out for them. However, the Barnetts soon find a sixth member when an adoption agency contacts Kristine out of the blue and tells her they only have 24 hours to make their big decision. Desperate, they decided to take a chance on a little girl who suffers from a rare form of dwarfism. But is this little girl what she seems? What is she doing with this family, and how old is she really? Let's find out in episode 3.

Episode 3 of Good American Family begins in 2019, shortly after Kristine leaves the police station. She arrives at the hotel room where her three children are staying with a couple of pizzas, only to find them watching the news about her. We already know they're pretty smart, so when she denies her guilt, their first question is: how did they arrest her if there was no concrete evidence? He tells them they should ask her father, who must have made a deal with the police, so she's the only one in trouble. But Michael is clearly naive and a bit useless, so while he's enjoying his pizza and his apparent victory, he receives a call from the detective he's been cooperating with, only to discover he'll soon be arrested on the same charges as Kristine.

Creator: Katie Robbins

In 2010, after discovering Natalia's hair (down there), Kristine decides to take her to the doctor for some tests. The doctor, who seems to know the family very well, tells her that Natalia does look older than 7; however, he needs to refer her to other doctors because he's not sure about anything. When Kristine points out that there's something strange about this situation and that she has a feeling, the doctor tells her he regrets not following his instincts when Jacob was little, so he'll give him some referrals to figure out what's going on with Natalia. Kristine also tells Michael about the First Path at the hospital, and he immediately becomes enraged. He doesn't want to believe anything she says because he already loves Natalia like his own daughter.

Furthermore, Natalia's behavior isn't great either, which means she also needs psychological testing, which infuriates Michael even more, not only because of his relationship with the girl, but because he doesn't have the money to cover all the expenses. Natalia, who detests going to the doctor, has so many appointments to go to in the next few weeks that she probably forgot what was bothering her by the end. Her rare dwarfism, which makes her not one in a million, but one in two million, makes a definitive diagnosis very difficult. But what's worse is that she never received the treatments the family paid $7,000 for, and now she needs surgeries. At home, at school, and with the kids, Natalia's behavior worsens every day, and Kristine doesn't know what to do.

Finally, a psychologist suggests that if Natalia were 18 or older, she would be considered a sociopath in simple terms; however, since she's young, this is classified as a case of reactive attachment disorder. This would mean she would need to be treated like a baby now—bottle-fed, cuddled, put in a crib, etc.—for her to improve. Michael immediately agrees, but of course, Kristine knows it won't help her at all, so she doesn't. At least on that much, Natalia and Kristine agree.

Now, Kristine gets a call for a television interview and is enthusiastically doing her homework. It's then that she notices bloody socks on the floor of Natalia's closet (oops!). Meanwhile, Michael is working his last day and still doesn't know how to tell Kristine that he's lost his job. He confesses to his coworker, Jennifer (whom he will eventually marry), and is about to tell Kristine the truth over some flowers, but he can't because things get a little complicated. When Kristine confronts the girl in the car, Natalia covers her eyes just as they're running home, causing Kristine to crash the car and nearly run over one of the children. Of course, Michael sides with Natalia even then, knowing that she covered Kristine's eyes. But Kristine is strong and still decides to go to the interview with Jacob the next day.

Kristine's friend, Valika, offers to dress her for the interview, so while she's at her house trying on clothes, she tells her about the movie Orphan. The story is eerily similar to Kristine's life, and she's a little scared to learn that the father ends up dying.

A Minecraft Movie 2025 Movie Review Trailer Poster

If you were to throw a bucket in Hollywood today, you could easily find a dozen video game adaptations in development, either as TV series or movies. They're all vying for the same thing: critical acclaim, huge box office revenue, or a sudden surge in streaming subscribers thanks to established fandoms. But it's a long shot: Will they become a "Borderlands" movie flop or a "Last of Us" hit? Next month, Legendary Entertainment, Warner Bros. Pictures, and Microsoft are going for box office gold with a different kind of game-to-movie adaptation: "A Minecraft Movie." Director: Jared Hess Writers: Chris Bowman, Hubbel Palmer, Neil Widener Stars: Jennifer Coolidge, Jason Momoa, Emma Myers For the uninitiated, Microsoft-owned "Minecraft" is a sandbox game that immerses players in the Overworld, a whimsical dimension made up of blocky, box-like voxels. There's no single story or single way to play: users can craft items, build structures, ba...

The Hunting Wives 2025 Tv Series Review Trailer Poster

Netflix has become a haven for shows about small towns rocked by crime. Last week, we premiered Untamed, where the residents of a town in Yosemite National Park became embroiled in a murder mystery after a girl fell from El Capitan. The show dealt heavily with grief, suicidal tendencies, abusive men, and the colonialists' negative feelings toward the Indigenous community. The Glass Dome told the story of a criminal psychologist who returned to her hometown to attend her stepmother's funeral and found herself involved in investigating a series of murders seemingly connected to her past.  Hound's Hill centered on a Polish author who returned to his hometown to come to terms with a crime he may have committed, only to discover that a serial killer is on the loose, killing the perpetrators—and his name could be next on the list. So, yes, when I watched The Hunting Wives, I completely understood why Netflix bought the rights to this show. What confuses me is, who is this series ...
