"Lucky Luke" is an adventure comedy directed by Benjamin Rocher and written by Mathieu Leblanc and Thomas Mansuy, based on the comic series of the same name. This eight-episode, half-hour series is produced by Geraldine Gendre and Lionel Uzan at Federation Studios, and co-produced by Rémi Préchac and Julien Vallespi at Un pour tous productions, alongside Alban Lenoir at Homerun. Lenoir—the French star of the Netflix action-thriller "Lost Bullet"—will play the role of Lucky Luke.
"Rallye 82," directed by Julien Lacombe ("Missions"), is set during the 1982 racing championship, in which Michèle Mouton—the sole female driver—defies the odds and wins the race. The screenplay was written by Lacombe and Haiga Jappain. The producers are Raphael Rocher and Eric Laroche of Empreinte Digitale.
The channel's programming slate was presented by several senior executives, including Manuel Alduy, Director of Film, International Content, and Young Adult Fiction. Alduy, who previously worked at Canal+ and Twentieth Century Fox, stated that France Télévisions intends to invest in a smaller number of productions aimed at young adults, in order to focus—from this point forward—on delivering projects of greater scope and ambition.
Among the other ambitious projects in France Télévisions' lineup is "Surface," based on the novel by Olivier Norek and produced by Quad Drama. The series centers on police captain Noémie Chastain as she investigates an unsolved case. The series stars Laura Smet and Tomer Sisley.
Stars: Didier Maes, Alban Lenoir, Thomas Sagols
The channel's non-fiction offerings include "Insoupçonnable," a docudrama series adapted from Patricia Tourancheau's book *Le grêle était un flic* and directed by Elie Wajeman. Production is handled by Elodie Polo Ackermann at Imagissime—a Mediawan company—and by Louis Grangé. One of the many standout titles in France Télévisions’ lineup is *In the Shadows*, a political thriller starring Swann Arlaud—an actor from *Anatomy of a Fall*—alongside Melvil Poupaud and Karin Viard.
The series is based on a novel written by Édouard Philippe—a former French minister—and Gilles Boyer. It is directed by Pierre Schoeller (*The Minister*) and by journalist-turned-screenwriter Guillaume Senez. The producers are Marie Masmonteil of Elzévir Films and Marie Dubas of Deuxième Ligne Films.
France Télévisions’ programming was announced at Series Mania, where the network’s president, Delphine Ernotte, also delivered a keynote speech during the Lille Dialogues.
