Furies 2026 Tv Series Season 2 Review Trailer Poster

Following the fall of Olympus, Damocles has seized control of Paris. Lyna and Selma—both determined to topple the organization and its enigmatic leader, Oz—forge unlikely alliances.

*Furies*, the Netflix series, returns with a new season presenting a struggle for freedom and survival that is far grittier and more intense than before. Picking up after the events of the first installment—in which Lyna and Selma confronted the shadowy Oz and attempted to eliminate him—the new season sees Lyna herself seeking to break free from the criminal underworld with the help of Elie, though the task proves not quite as simple as it seems.

Creators: Jean-Yves Arnaud, Yoann Legave
Stars: Lina El Arabi, Marina Foïs, Steve Tientcheu

The second season of this French action series offers an entertaining experience that never overstays its welcome. We follow Lyna and her crew in their bid for survival—not only against Oz, but also against Selma—two ruthless, power-hungry figures. Caught in the middle of this conflict is the rest of the crew: a group of individuals who, despite the circumstances, retain their humanity. It is impossible not to empathize with them as they battle the forces threatening to claim their lives.

Even in its second season, the series remains thrilling and utterly captivating, holding our interest throughout the entire narrative thanks to its constant plot twists. While the first five episodes focus entirely on capturing Oz—dead or alive—the finale takes a surprising turn that leaves the door open for a potential third season. In doing so, the series shocks and amazes us, featuring a formidable performance by its lead, Lina El Arabi, who manages to keep us absolutely glued to the screen.

The character of Lyna, portrayed by El Arabi, is bold and possesses a strong moral compass. She fights for what she believes is right, and her more vulnerable side ensures that we follow her quest for freedom with bated breath. With traitors lurking around every corner—ready to take her out in order to seize control of Paris—her struggle becomes a grueling uphill battle.

Nevertheless, she manages to transform this arduous journey into a thoroughly enjoyable experience for the viewer. On the other hand, it is also surprisingly gratifying to watch Marina Foïs in action; her character—Selma—is at the center of a shocking final twist. Although she has always been an enigmatic and hard-to-decipher character, this season turns everything we thought we knew about her completely upside down.

In any case, both actresses exude incredible on-screen chemistry, and the cat-and-mouse game that unfolds between their characters makes this season an ideal choice for a TV binge-watch. While it offers nothing entirely new and features some familiar elements, I believe the series absolutely nails its execution and proves to be highly entertaining—to the point where any repetitive elements barely register. The storyline involving the organized resistance lends the series a more ambitious scope, creating a fascinating world brimming with infinite possibilities.

The second season of *Furies* is a surprisingly ambitious offering that remains entertaining from start to finish. Of course, it contains many recurring elements, but it succeeds in keeping us hooked on the story and leaves us eager to see what happens next. If you’re in the mood for fluid, fast-paced action paired with an entertaining narrative, this series is a safe bet.

A Minecraft Movie 2025 Movie Review Trailer Poster

If you were to throw a bucket in Hollywood today, you could easily find a dozen video game adaptations in development, either as TV series or movies. They're all vying for the same thing: critical acclaim, huge box office revenue, or a sudden surge in streaming subscribers thanks to established fandoms. But it's a long shot: Will they become a "Borderlands" movie flop or a "Last of Us" hit? Next month, Legendary Entertainment, Warner Bros. Pictures, and Microsoft are going for box office gold with a different kind of game-to-movie adaptation: "A Minecraft Movie." Director: Jared Hess Writers: Chris Bowman, Hubbel Palmer, Neil Widener Stars: Jennifer Coolidge, Jason Momoa, Emma Myers For the uninitiated, Microsoft-owned "Minecraft" is a sandbox game that immerses players in the Overworld, a whimsical dimension made up of blocky, box-like voxels. There's no single story or single way to play: users can craft items, build structures, ba...

Heated Rivalry 2025 Tv Series Review Trailer Poster

Letterkenny veteran Jacob Tierney wrote and directed the six-part series about two rising hockey stars who fall passionately in love. Sidney Crosby and Alexander Ovechkin entered the NHL in 2005. For more than 20 years, the Canadian star and his Russian counterpart have waged one of the greatest rivalries in the sport. They've won titles, medals, and scoring crowns, and both are still playing (with the same franchises that drafted them), having earned their place among hockey's all-time elite. Creator: Jacob Tierney Stars: Hudson Williams, Connor Storrie, Callan Potter That's the underlying premise at the heart of HBO Max and Crave's new six-part romantic drama, Heated Rivalry, based on the book by Rachel Reid and written and directed by Letterkenny veteran Jacob Tierney. Don't expect many direct similarities to Letterkenny, though. Heated Rivalry may have some comedic elements, as relationships between passionate men are often entertaining, but it's a sincere a...
