The Huntsman 2026 Movie Review Trailer Poster

Epic Pictures Group will release the mystery-thriller feature film in select North American theaters on February 6, before its video-on-demand release on February 10, as exclusively reported by The Hollywood Reporter. Shawn Ashmore (The Rookie, X-Men), Elizabeth Mitchell (Lost), Jessy Schram (Mad Men), and Garret Dillahunt (Fear the Walking Dead) lead the cast of the film directed by Kyle Kauwika Harris.

The Huntsman tells the story of an ICU nurse who becomes entangled in a dangerous world after agreeing to help a comatose patient accused of murdering six women.

Director: Kyle Kauwika Harris
Writers: Kyle Kauwika Harris, Judith Sanders, Steven Jon Whritner
Stars: Shawn Ashmore, Elizabeth Mitchell, Jessy Schram

Harris directed the film from a screenplay he co-wrote with Steven Jon Whritner, based on the novel by author Judith Sanders. Frank J. Malinoski serves as executive producer.

“With The Huntsman, I wanted to explore the gray areas of morality, the limits of justice, and the elusive nature of truth, creating a psychological tension that drives the film’s plot,” says Harris. “It forces viewers to pay attention, to question every moment, and to remain on the edge of their seats without resorting to gratuitous violence. True horror often lies not in what we see, but in what we don’t see. The fragility of the mind is both a weapon and a vulnerability that we all share, regardless of our circumstances.”

He continues: “In making this film, my goal is not only to entertain but to evoke a visceral reaction that lingers long after the credits roll. The Huntsman is a thrilling journey where the only certainty is that nothing is as it seems and no one can be trusted. And in that uncertainty, I hope you find a story that challenges and excites you, that makes you question the characters as they confront their inner demons, whether it be grief, guilt, or paranoia.” Epic Pictures Group CEO Patrick Ewald adds: “This is the kind of high-quality thriller we love to support. Dark, atmospheric, and with strong performances, The Huntsman delivers an intelligent, twist-filled mystery that keeps the tension high and the audience on the edge of their seats until the very end.”

Heated Rivalry 2025 Tv Series Review Trailer Poster

Letterkenny veteran Jacob Tierney wrote and directed the six-part series about two rising hockey stars who fall passionately in love. Sidney Crosby and Alexander Ovechkin entered the NHL in 2005. For more than 20 years, the Canadian star and his Russian counterpart have waged one of the greatest rivalries in the sport. They've won titles, medals, and scoring crowns, and both are still playing (with the same franchises that drafted them), having earned their place among hockey's all-time elite. Creator: Jacob Tierney Stars: Hudson Williams, Connor Storrie, Callan Potter That's the underlying premise at the heart of HBO Max and Crave's new six-part romantic drama, Heated Rivalry, based on the book by Rachel Reid and written and directed by Letterkenny veteran Jacob Tierney. Don't expect many direct similarities to Letterkenny, though. Heated Rivalry may have some comedic elements, as relationships between passionate men are often entertaining, but it's a sincere a...

Dhurandhar 2025 Movie Review Trailer Poster

Dhurandhar's story unfolds against the backdrop of significant terrorist attacks in India, focusing particularly on harrowing incidents such as the hijacking of flight IC-814 in Kandahar in 1999, the Parliament attack in 2001, and the devastating 26/11 Mumbai attacks in 2008. The film depicts a daring covert operation led by the head of India's Intelligence Bureau, Ajay Sanyal, played by R. Madhavan. The film delves into the underbelly of Karachi, particularly the dangerous Lyari region, following the journey of Hamza, played by Ranveer Singh.  Hamza is introduced as an Indian agent who infiltrates Karachi's notoriously violent gang culture to dismantle terrorist operations from within. Structured in several chapters, the film introduces the viewer to a complex narrative that explores themes of revenge, sacrifice, and national security. The first half successfully intertwines traumatic real-life events with fiction, creating a thought-provoking plot that encourages audience...

Kantara A Legend: Chapter 1 2025 Movie Review Trailer Poster

The ending of Kantara: Chapter 1 returns us to the original film, a sequence in which young Shiva wonders what happened to the well that physically existed there many years ago, when the Naga tribe lived in harmony with nature, only to be forced to endure the invasion and destruction of the land they were supposed to protect.  The film is a winding tale of three cultures, two of which seem to drive the story about class and greed similarly to the original film; however, the third element is the Kadapa tribe, a people who seek to appropriate the power of the deities for themselves rather than worship them. At its core, it's a film about unity. It's about bringing people together to merge tradition with contemporary ideology. Kantara: Chapter 1 takes us directly into the heart of the Bangra Kingdom, a prosperous state with trade and all modern amenities, but with a powerful and greedy king.
