Two brothers and a friend with financial problems find a car full of cash and dead bodies. They decide to keep the money.
Although the plot of “The Town” explores themes already familiar to the audience, it's the execution that keeps the excitement going. From the beginning, we see two brothers who desperately need money. They have recently lost their mother, and one of the brothers wants to sell the property to pay off his debts, much to the other's dismay. Efe and Selim, the two brothers, are estranged but have reunited for their mother's funeral.
Stars: Yerman Gur, Kerem Can, Okan Yalabik
However, one day they stumble upon an abandoned car whose trunk is full of twelve million dollars. Anyone with common sense would know that this isn't just any car with money. It's dirty money. But since they all urgently need money, they decide to keep it, aware that the owner of the money will come looking for it. And here's the other problem: the money wasn't the only thing in the car. There were also two dead bodies. So now, the two brothers and their friend have to get rid of the bodies and, at the same time, keep the money safe. As expected, this money doesn't solve all their problems. On the contrary, they are now in serious trouble.
Now that you have an idea of the plot, you'll know that it's nothing new. Especially big fans of Bollywood and Hollywood have already seen this plot. However, that doesn't mean the series is boring. It's definitely worth watching. It has a fast pace. For example, in the first episode, we are already introduced to the fact that there is a car full of money and two dead bodies. As the episodes progress, the pace remains constant.
This helps us to watch it and stay intrigued by the plot. The episodes are only about thirty minutes long. So it's very easy to watch without having to dedicate a lot of time to it.
As for the acting, it's top-notch. For a moment, I forgot that these people were actors and not real people. Okan Yalabik, Yerman Gaur, and the rest of the cast do an excellent job portraying these brothers who are up to their necks in debt and want to get their hands on money that doesn't belong to them.
In short, for those who enjoy suspense series, this is an excellent option that you shouldn't miss. You'll enjoy it and be entertained from beginning to end. If you don't like this type of series, you can skip it. However, I still recommend watching it for its superb production.
