"We Met in December" is one of those movies that surprised me. From the moment Autumn Reeser and Niall Matter appear on screen, something screams chemistry, and that this movie was going to be different.
The clichés were there. I thought the Christmas romance would be the main theme. But it's more than that. It's so much more than chance encounters, missed opportunities, and the search for love. It's a story about believing that love exists: self-love and opening your heart to dreams and possibilities. It's a story about believing that love exists and can be felt quickly and deeply.

Stars: Lara Amersey, Michael Barbuto, Valentina Capetola
After a perfect night together, Annie and Dave part ways, believing that a few hours later they'll meet in the lobby and catch a flight. Four hours—they have four hours until they're supposed to see each other again and go home—seats next to each other, giving them all the time they need to talk.
But the story doesn't begin or end there. It's about a flight delay and booking the same place: a magical hotel. There's a door opening and chivalry, but more than that, it's instant chemistry. Dave and Annie's story is magical and the kind of love everyone dreams of.
"We Met in December" is unlike any other Christmas movie I've ever seen, and that's largely due to the way Autumn Reeser and Niall Matter bring their characters to life. I was instantly drawn in and cared for Annie and Dave. I rooted for them the moment they both walked to the hotel door to go inside.
Autumn Reeser and Niall Matter have an on-screen chemistry that not everyone possesses. I genuinely watched "We Met in December" and thought I was watching two people searching for each other and falling in love. They kept me glued to the screen, believing I was witnessing their lives unfold. They made me forget it was a movie, and I think when that happens, it's a film that deserves to be praised and admired.
