Horror lovers, gather around! This docuseries will give you just the thrill you're looking for. Through it, we enjoy a combination of cinematic perspectives and a documentary-style story, making the overall experience very intriguing. The series covers two cases: "Eerie Hall" and "The House That Murdered Me."
The first, "Eerie Hall," is about a college student tormented by unforeseen forces. With this, the focus shifts to Ed and Lorraine Warren, from the series "The Conjuring." We see how the invisible entity revolutionizes Chris's student life. The "Eerie Hall" episodes are well-researched to create a frightening and authentic feel. The ending of each episode will leave you in shock and eager to see and understand what will happen next in Chris's life.

The remaining episodes focus on "The House That Murdered Me." It follows a family who have been haunted upon moving into their new home; However, unlike the first installment, this case feels rushed, as it unfolds in just two episodes. Therefore, I felt it wasn't covered as well as the Eerie Hall case. This case is like any other haunted house case we've seen in the past, such as The Conjuring, etc. So, it may or may not be scary. As a result, it doesn't offer many shocks or surprises. However, yes, it is scary. There's no arguing about that.
As for the cinematography, which plays a major role in this series, it's top-notch. As mentioned above, this docuseries combines cinematic expertise with good interviews. This guarantees a first-class viewing experience. In my opinion, if the second case had enough screen time, this documentary would be one of the best I've seen so far in the horror genre. Each episode builds suspense that leaves you wanting more. I also think one of the reasons the second case felt short was that the creators wanted to keep it compact.
However, audiences would have loved a more detailed version, no doubt. The pacing is consistent in both cases. There's no rush. Each scene was worth the time given to it at the time. This, in turn, makes the series worth watching. The cinematic representation also manages to scare us and gives us a great insight into what happened to those involved. Even the sounds are very detailed, especially in the second case. Most of the time, more than the images, it's the sound effects that have been perfectly rendered.
However, let me warn you if you don't like watching this kind of thing: if horror isn't your thing, don't even think about watching it. This series can provide enough scares to keep you up at night. There are interviews, footage, photos, and, most importantly, the setting is enough to leave an indelible impression. When you realize that all of this really happened, it will also give you goosebumps. Therefore, if you avoid horror, avoid this one. But if you like horror, watch it as soon as possible, and the Conjuring universe will thrill you once again.
