She Walks in Darkness 2025 Movie Review Trailer Poster

For thriller lovers, this is the perfect movie to watch this weekend. "She Walks in Darkness" tells the story of Amaia, played by Susana Abaitua, a Civil Guard agent. She agrees to infiltrate the ranks of ETA, knowing full well the grave danger this poses to her life. Her sole objective is to uncover the weapons caches hidden in southern France. At all times, she must maintain her cover, otherwise, her life will end at the hands of her enemies.

The film spans several years and shows us how the life of a spy unfolds between 1992 and 2004. At first glance, she seems like an ordinary woman, but she is far from it. In an era when ETA was sowing terror, even murdering people and children, Amaia's contribution proved crucial.

Director: Agustín Díaz Yanes
Writer: Agustín Díaz Yanes
Stars: Susana Abaitua, Andrés Gertrúdix, Iraia Elias

What makes the film so interesting is not only the plot, but also the fact that the creators didn't assume that viewers were already familiar with the historical context. The film begins with actual news footage and other videos of ETA. Set against the backdrop of the Basque conflict, the film provides us with sufficient information. Of course, it's not a documentary, but the way it's made makes it a great film. The visual appeal transports you to the time when all of this was happening. The storytelling is excellent, both in terms of the plot and the way it's filmed.

As for the pacing, it's slow. But not due to a lack of content, but because the creators want us to understand the reason behind each action and scene. Thus, as the plot progresses, there will be no confusion. However, at some point, it might feel a little boring.

The cast has done a great job, especially Susana Abaitua, who plays Amaia. Her varied expression of emotions makes you want to watch her more and more. She delivers exactly what we expected from her in her portrayal of Amaia. Even the supporting cast, such as Andrés Gertrúdix, Iraia Elias, etc., also do a great job supporting the plot. These are the reasons why people are going to see it. Yes, you'll definitely need to use your detective skills and pay close attention for the plot to make sense. When viewers do that, the creators are there to provide them with the information they've included. But if you prefer a lighthearted film, you might want to reconsider your choice, as this movie requires attention and patience. Also, if the story isn't your cup of tea, we recommend watching something else if you're not interested in giving it a try. Otherwise, spy stories are always entertaining.

Heated Rivalry 2025 Tv Series Review Trailer Poster

Letterkenny veteran Jacob Tierney wrote and directed the six-part series about two rising hockey stars who fall passionately in love. Sidney Crosby and Alexander Ovechkin entered the NHL in 2005. For more than 20 years, the Canadian star and his Russian counterpart have waged one of the greatest rivalries in the sport. They've won titles, medals, and scoring crowns, and both are still playing (with the same franchises that drafted them), having earned their place among hockey's all-time elite. Creator: Jacob Tierney Stars: Hudson Williams, Connor Storrie, Callan Potter That's the underlying premise at the heart of HBO Max and Crave's new six-part romantic drama, Heated Rivalry, based on the book by Rachel Reid and written and directed by Letterkenny veteran Jacob Tierney. Don't expect many direct similarities to Letterkenny, though. Heated Rivalry may have some comedic elements, as relationships between passionate men are often entertaining, but it's a sincere a...

Dhurandhar's story unfolds against the backdrop of significant terrorist attacks in India, focusing particularly on harrowing incidents such as the hijacking of flight IC-814 in Kandahar in 1999, the Parliament attack in 2001, and the devastating 26/11 Mumbai attacks in 2008. The film depicts a daring covert operation led by the head of India's Intelligence Bureau, Ajay Sanyal, played by R. Madhavan. Kantara A Legend: Chapter 1 2025 Movie Review Trailer Poster

The ending of Kantara: Chapter 1 returns us to the original film, a sequence in which young Shiva wonders what happened to the well that physically existed there many years ago, when the Naga tribe lived in harmony with nature, only to be forced to endure the invasion and destruction of the land they were supposed to protect.  The film is a winding tale of three cultures, two of which seem to drive the story about class and greed similarly to the original film; however, the third element is the Kadapa tribe, a people who seek to appropriate the power of the deities for themselves rather than worship them. At its core, it's a film about unity. It's about bringing people together to merge tradition with contemporary ideology. Kantara: Chapter 1 takes us directly into the heart of the Bangra Kingdom, a prosperous state with trade and all modern amenities, but with a powerful and greedy king. Director: Rishab Shetty Writers: Rishab Shetty, Anirudh Mahesh, Shanil Guru Stars: Rishab ...
