Riv4li 2025 Tv Series Review Trailer Poster

Riv4lries brings us the story of preadolescence and the turbulence that teenagers face growing up. Created by Simona Ercolani, the series is set in Pisa. This city plays an important role, as it is not just a setting; rather, it is full of the contradictions and aspirations of youth. The narrative revolves around Montalcini High School, which, like many schools, is divided into two groups: the "insiders" and the "outsiders."

The "insiders" are the people who enjoy popularity, while the "outsiders" are those who thrive on the fringes of social life. So when you watch this part, some of you might identify with this division. And needless to say, these two groups don't get along well together. The rivalry between these groups intensifies with the arrival of a new student named Terry. With his addition to the school, the calm balance between these groups is upset, and now a feeling of hatred arises, as the insiders can't stand the outsiders and vice versa.

Stars: Edoardo Miulli, Andrea Arru, Samuele Carrino

Claudio, one of the popular kids, along with his supposedly popular group, welcomes her. This gives us the feeling that she, too, could be the type of person who will become part of the popular group. But that's not what we see. Terry must navigate these turbulent waters to live peacefully at school.

A great strength of the series is that, alongside the teenagers, there are also adults. And they're not merely a background existence. In the roles of parents and teachers, they are crucial to the series. They are the backbone, without which the plot wouldn't move forward. The adults try to understand the teenagers while the latter struggle to make themselves understood.

A huge shout-out to the writers for creating a simple yet relatable script. The dialogue complements the script to offer us scenes that leave an indelible mark. We relive adolescence through the series, which gives us a glimpse into a future full of possibilities, as well as the vulnerability it entails. We are also shown teenage love, with its dose of tenderness and awkwardness. So, for those who have had a similar teenage life, this series can be a trip back in time. That's the best part of the plot: both teens and adults can relate to it.

Like every coin has two sides, Riv4lries shows us the dark side of adolescence, which can become more complicated if left unchecked. With phones, the internet, and social media so popular, the undeniable component of cyberbullying is also explored. Through the plot and characters, the negative impact of this facet of the internet is portrayed, which is also revealing.

The pacing is consistent throughout the series, ensuring you won't get bored easily. Even visually, the scenes are pleasing and worth watching. It gives us an intimacy that can only be explained by watching the series. So, viewers, this series is great, regardless of your age.

Heated Rivalry 2025 Tv Series Review Trailer Poster

Letterkenny veteran Jacob Tierney wrote and directed the six-part series about two rising hockey stars who fall passionately in love. Sidney Crosby and Alexander Ovechkin entered the NHL in 2005. For more than 20 years, the Canadian star and his Russian counterpart have waged one of the greatest rivalries in the sport. They've won titles, medals, and scoring crowns, and both are still playing (with the same franchises that drafted them), having earned their place among hockey's all-time elite. Creator: Jacob Tierney Stars: Hudson Williams, Connor Storrie, Callan Potter That's the underlying premise at the heart of HBO Max and Crave's new six-part romantic drama, Heated Rivalry, based on the book by Rachel Reid and written and directed by Letterkenny veteran Jacob Tierney. Don't expect many direct similarities to Letterkenny, though. Heated Rivalry may have some comedic elements, as relationships between passionate men are often entertaining, but it's a sincere a...

Kantara A Legend: Chapter 1 2025 Movie Review Trailer Poster

The ending of Kantara: Chapter 1 returns us to the original film, a sequence in which young Shiva wonders what happened to the well that physically existed there many years ago, when the Naga tribe lived in harmony with nature, only to be forced to endure the invasion and destruction of the land they were supposed to protect.  The film is a winding tale of three cultures, two of which seem to drive the story about class and greed similarly to the original film; however, the third element is the Kadapa tribe, a people who seek to appropriate the power of the deities for themselves rather than worship them. At its core, it's a film about unity. It's about bringing people together to merge tradition with contemporary ideology. Kantara: Chapter 1 takes us directly into the heart of the Bangra Kingdom, a prosperous state with trade and all modern amenities, but with a powerful and greedy king. Director: Rishab Shetty Writers: Rishab Shetty, Anirudh Mahesh, Shanil Guru Stars: Rishab ...
