At the Platonic Hotel Blue Moon, we meet the hotel owner, Mrs. Nezahat, and her two daughters, Gülten and Nedret. Nezahat tells us the story of the hotel. She and her husband founded it together, and since his death, she and her daughters have run it. The hotel barely receives guests, except for an elderly couple who use Mrs. Nezahat for their own purposes. It is quite deserted until one day the situation changes with the arrival of a guest.
Speaking of the daughters, Gülten, a 33-year-old woman, wants to get married, but constantly lowers herself. Meanwhile, the youngest, Nedret, also wants to get married, but is eager to find her soul mate. Mr. Kaan is determined to buy the hotel. He is described as a very selfish man who only cares about business. Mrs. Nezahat, however, makes it very clear that she will not sell the hotel. And so, to convince her, Mr. Kaan arrives at the hotel in person, but in disguise (remember the aforementioned guest?). He doesn't tell her who he is or what his intentions are.

No one knows him, but word spreads around town, and suddenly everyone wants to know about him. At first, both sisters look at him in amazement. They both desire him and want to marry him. This means that throughout the series we see a fight between the sisters, each taking Kaan to places to court him. But only in later episodes do we see them all realize the strangeness of his behavior. Mr. Kaan also talks about an eternal portal. Then the question arises: who is he really? Is he human or alien? Is someone else with him? Also, will Mrs. Nezahat sell the hotel?
The plot revolves around supernatural powers and the effect of a blue moon. But the execution is poor. It's difficult to understand what exactly is being conveyed. From the first episode, we see everyone giving an interview, in the form of an investigation. But this only becomes clear towards the last episode. At first, it's confusing to see and understand why everyone is here to tell a story. Second, the plot is slow. It focuses primarily on the premise of two women chasing a man. But that's nothing new. The other subplots don't add much. For example, I think the supernatural aspect was overshadowed by the love triangle.
But there are also some positive points. For example, the pacing is really good. They waste no time introducing Mr. Kaan and also show that he is a very self-centered man through his behavior in the office. The history of the hotel is also presented to us from the beginning, and the girls, with their insecurities, are also presented early on, which helps deepen the plot. Some humorous moments make the series worth watching. Unlike the plot, the humorous plot isn't difficult to understand. It's simple and very decent.
So, viewers, as I said before, Platonic Blue Moon Hotel is a one-time viewing. It doesn't add much. But that doesn't mean there's nothing to watch. The unexpected twists are intriguing, and that's a big plus for the series. Therefore, it's a good watch for entertainment purposes, but without high expectations.
