Nam Dong-hyup's Korean horror comedy, Handsome Guys, revolves around best friends Kang Jae-pil and Park Sang-goo, who decide to move to a house in the woods to live a quiet rural life. While Jae-pil and Sang-goo were decent and kind men, they were always misunderstood for their rough appearance. Young women felt threatened around them, and the police always looked at them with suspicion. Although the best friends firmly believed they were handsome men, they didn't truly understand the reason behind the prejudice they often faced.
The European dream house the best friends decided to buy after seeing a stunning photo online turned out to be an abandoned, dilapidated property. It was built by an American missionary, and the place was practically in ruins. But Sang-goo liked the house; it wasn't perfect, but it had everything he had ever wanted. Jae-pil didn't protest, and they eventually bought the property. On their first day at the house, they discovered a basement with an inscription of the Sigil of Baphomet on the wooden floor. Was the house haunted? Let's find out.

A group of six students were partying at a house near the woods. They ran into Jae-pil and Sang-goo and immediately assumed the two friends were criminals. On the way to the vacation home, they accidentally ran over a black goat. Kay Mi-na had suggested burying the dead goat, but her friends didn't think it was necessary. Later, Jae-pil and Sang-goo took the goat to their new house and buried it on their property.
That evening, as the popular golfer Seong-bin and Mi-na were sitting together, he told a ghost story. The house belonged to Seong-bin, and he claimed that the place was his grandfather's hometown. According to stories he had heard, there was a girl who was once possessed by a demon. She ran around like a goat and hurt the villagers. This caused chaos, and the villagers decided to lock her in a basement. They called the American pastor to deal with the situation. The inscription Jae-pil and Sang-goo had seen in the basement of their house was the location where the exorcism ritual had taken place.
The demon, Baphomet, was determined to drag all weak human souls to hell. The demon's plan had worked so far, and he became enraged when the pastor intervened. Even after placing the crucifix on its forehead, the demon did not immediately leave the human body. One of the witnesses to the exorcism, Yohan, had mistakenly stepped on the circle surrounding the Sigil of Baphomet that the pastor had drawn, and the devil immediately got rid of the crucifix. To banish the goat demon, the pastor took out his silver pistol and shot it in the head. The demon eventually left. Mi-na didn't believe in ghosts, and while Seong-bin agreed that he found it ridiculous too, the fact that his cousin died after being hit on the head by the crucifix was undeniable. His grandfather had bought Seong-bin a talisman for ten million won from a folk magician to keep the goat demon at bay.
Min-na began to see Seong-jin for what he was: a narcissistic golfer. She heard him insult her friend Bo-ra, so she left the house and tried to contact her. But she didn't expect to run into Jae-pil and Sang-goo again. They were fishing by the lake, and Mi-na assumed they had followed her from the supermarket, where they had first crossed paths. She was so scared that she didn't look where she was stepping and fell into the lake. Her best friends rescued her, but as soon as she opened her eyes and saw them up close, she panicked. She tried to run, but tripped and fell again. The boys took her home, and Jason and Bo-ra witnessed the entire incident. They informed the rest of the group, but Seong-bin was more concerned about his lost phone than Mi-na.
When Mi-na woke up in the morning at the strangers' house, she assumed she had been kidnapped. She didn't trust men, and her opinion of them hadn't changed. But over time, she realized they meant no harm. Sang-goo had prepared an elaborate breakfast for her. He was happy to have a guest in his house and wanted to impress her. Mi-na thought she had made a terrible mistake by misjudging two good souls. They ate breakfast together, and she forged a loving friendship with Sang-goo. Jae-pil felt a little envious of their friendship, but didn't protest because he knew Sang-goo was genuinely happy to be a big brother in someone's life.
Mi-na was saved from the goat demon because she was able to distinguish between right and wrong. While she misjudged others, she also apologized for her mistake and finally saw them for who they were. Furthermore, we eventually discover that Mi-na was destined to play an important role in defeating the goat demon. Mi-na's friends arrived at Jae-pil and Sang-goo's property, and upon seeing them from a distance, they became convinced they were serial killers. They attempted to attack the two friends, and although Mi-na tried to defend them, it was too late.
Curiously, four of her friends were fatally or seriously injured. Byeong-jo, who was abused by the rest of the group, came face-to-face with a literally reanimated goat, and the incident left a lasting impression on him. On his way back to the vacation spot, he met two police officers and told them about the goat and the two men who had kidnapped his friend, Mi-na. When the police arrived at the property, the front yard was already covered in blood. Seong-bin had been electrocuted, Yong-jun had fallen onto a wooden structure filled with nails, and Jason had accidentally jumped into a chipper, killing him instantly.
Seong-bin was the only one to regain consciousness after the police arrived. The police searched the house and asked Jae-pil and Sang-goo to surrender. The men didn't protest, but once again luck saved them. One of the police officers died, while the other was nearly burned to death.
Meanwhile, Yohan (the witness who mistakenly crossed the circle during the exorcism) suddenly felt a supernatural force calling to him. He woke up in his hospital bed and asked the nurse to bring him the book that the American pastor, Mr. Baker, had left him. It had told Yohan that if the demon returned, he would be the one to save his village. According to ancient scriptures, sixty-six years and six months after the exorcism, five evil people were destined to sacrifice a goat, which would open the door to hell. The five students were to be killed for the awakening of Baphomet, whose return would destroy the world completely.
Seong-bin and Byeong-jo joined forces to take revenge on the "serial killer." They tied Jae-pil to a tree and beat him repeatedly. Mi-na tried to stop them, but Seong-bin didn't care. He made it clear he wasn't risking his life to find Mi-na; he only cared about her phone. He didn't hesitate to call Mi-na and her friends "idiots," and Sang-goo was deeply offended. Seong-bin continued to insult those around him, and Byeong-jo did the unimaginable: he hit him with a rock. He tried to steal Seong-bin's phone, determined to damage his reputation by spreading controversial photos, but his dream was cut short when Bo-ra approached them. She was already dead, her body taken over by the goat demon. She chased Byeong-jo, while the others had to decide what to do.
As expected, Seong-bin didn't care about the others and headed to the house in the woods, where he found the silver pistol (the same one the pastor used sixty-six years and six months earlier) in a closet. He used it to threaten Jae-pil and Sang-goo into handing over the car keys so he could escape. But before he could leave, Byeong-jo returned to the house, but this time he was possessed by the goat demon. Seong-bin tried to defend himself by showing the demon his ten million won talisman. But, to his surprise, the demon burned him in a second. Jae-pil, Sang-goo, and Mi-na finally managed to trap the demon, also known as Byeong-jo, in the basement. But it was impossible to contain him. The demon dragged Seong-bin into the basement and killed him. After the five bodies were placed in the Sigil of Baphomet, the spirit of Baphomet awakened.
Yohan arrived in time, although his technique didn't work on the demon. Baphomet had possessed Seong-bin's body, and Yohan attempted to perform an exorcism. But the spirit already recognized Yohan's lack of conviction, and as a result, the demon simply pushed him away. To escape the evil spirit, Jae-pil lit a fire and ran out of the house.
