Our Unwritten Seoul 2025 Tv Series Review Trailer Poster

Our Unwritten Seoul, the new Netflix series starring Jin-Young and Park Bo-Young, is a melodrama about twins with identical appearances but opposite behaviors. The first episode unfolds like a typical K-drama, with a flashback to the childhood of our protagonists, Mi-Ji and Mi-Rae. Currently, the two sisters are separated, one in Seoul and the other in her hometown, still living with their mother. But an unexpected twist will soon change this. The story is told from the point of view of Mi-Ji, who seems to be the rebellious daughter who is called useless, while Mi-Rae is the ideal daughter. But what's really going on between the two sisters? Let's find out in episode 1 of Our Unwritten Seoul.

When Mi-Rae and Mi-Ji's mother became pregnant, it was a great blessing for the family, so their father decided on the twins' names well in advance: Mi-Ji for the girl who comes first, an unknown, and Mi-Rae, meaning future, for the one who comes later. However, due to complications during childbirth, the sisters' names were changed, leaving the second daughter as the unknown Mi-Ji. This is significant because whenever something goes wrong for Mi-Ji, she blames her name. As children, no one could tell them apart, except for their father and grandmother. But Mi-Rae and Mi-Ji's stay-at-home father passed away early, leaving their mother and grandmother to care for the two girls.

Stars: Park Bo-young, Park Jin-young, Ryu Kyung-soo

Mi-Rae was the one who got good grades, making her the ideal child, but Mi-Ji ended up being known simply as "the twin." However, the girls soon realized that if they didn't do anything well, they could change jobs without anyone noticing. However, when they were discovered, their grandmother decided to cut Mi-Ji's hair so everyone could tell them apart. In middle school, Mi-Rae became the top student, while Mi-Ji merely encouraged her because she wasn't good at anything. But one day, while running to be the first to eat, they discovered she was a budding athlete. Suddenly, Mi-Ji became the pride of the school, winning medal after medal, but this victory was short-lived, because when it came time for the national team, she ended up twisting her ankle mid-race and falling flat on her face. Of course, she blamed her name because, once again, she was an unknown.

In high school, Mi-Ji and Mi-Rae found new neighbors, and Mi-Rae was also in their class. But Ho-Su wasn't like other children; He's partially deaf and doesn't interact with anyone, especially Mi-Ji, who basically bullies him because she doesn't listen to what he has to say. But what she doesn't know is that she's being insensitive because Ho-Su almost died in an accident when he was young, leaving him with severe burns on the left side of his body. It's Mi-Rae who tells Mi-Ji this because the teacher told her to help the new kid. There's an incident at school when Ho-Su grabs Mi-Ji's hand because a ball hits him in the ear, making a terrible buzzing sound. At that moment, Mi-Ji comforts the boy by holding his hand and telling him to breathe, but he freaks out and runs away.

Currently, Ho-Su, who lives in Seoul, is visiting his mother for his father's death anniversary. Something he doesn't seem very happy about doing. Mi-Ji is ordered to deliver food, but runs away as soon as she finds out Ho-Su is visiting. However, he appears at the door and the first thing he asks is how Mi-Rae is, which annoys her. Later, when she irritably punches him in the left ear when he asks about Mi-Rae again, she learns that her sister is having trouble in Seoul, and Ho-Su believes she's the only one who can help her, since Mi-Rae doesn't show her weakness in front of anyone.

Nowadays, Mi-Ji gets annoyed whenever someone mentions Mi-Rae because they always compare her to her smarter older sister. But after hearing what Ho-Su tells her about Mi-Rae, she becomes a little worried and decides to visit her with the food her mother made for her. In Seoul, Mi-Rae acts as if everything is perfect when she picks up Mi-Ji from work and takes her to a nearby cafe. But she talks about jumping out of her window as if it's a normal sight.

Mi-Ji doesn't think much of it, but when she returns from a visit to the bathroom, Mi-Rae has disappeared, leaving everything behind. Mi-Ji panics after realizing that Mi-Rae might be suicidal. Mi-Ji runs to Mi-Rae's house and finds her hanging from her window. Mi-Ji runs to catch her, but slips off the stool, and they both fall from the third floor. Fortunately, Mi-Rae threw off her blankets first, and the bushes are enough to save them from serious injury. At that moment, Mi-Ji collapses and tells her sister that she can't live without her.

At the end of episode 1 of Our Unwritten Seoul, Mi-Ji gets off the bus she was supposed to take home because her gut instinct tells her that Mi-Rae is still not well. She finds her sister walking on the bridge and stops her before she makes another drastic decision. Mi-Ji realizes she shouldn't tell her sister to suck it up or take a vacation; Mi-Rae needs to resign. But she can't because she's taken out a loan, so Mi-Ji decides to go to work instead of Mi-Rae, and Mi-Rae will live as Mi-Ji. Thus begins the story of the twin sisters.

Heated Rivalry 2025 Tv Series Review Trailer Poster

Letterkenny veteran Jacob Tierney wrote and directed the six-part series about two rising hockey stars who fall passionately in love. Sidney Crosby and Alexander Ovechkin entered the NHL in 2005. For more than 20 years, the Canadian star and his Russian counterpart have waged one of the greatest rivalries in the sport. They've won titles, medals, and scoring crowns, and both are still playing (with the same franchises that drafted them), having earned their place among hockey's all-time elite. Creator: Jacob Tierney Stars: Hudson Williams, Connor Storrie, Callan Potter That's the underlying premise at the heart of HBO Max and Crave's new six-part romantic drama, Heated Rivalry, based on the book by Rachel Reid and written and directed by Letterkenny veteran Jacob Tierney. Don't expect many direct similarities to Letterkenny, though. Heated Rivalry may have some comedic elements, as relationships between passionate men are often entertaining, but it's a sincere a...

The Hunting Wives 2025 Tv Series Review Trailer Poster

Netflix has become a haven for shows about small towns rocked by crime. Last week, we premiered Untamed, where the residents of a town in Yosemite National Park became embroiled in a murder mystery after a girl fell from El Capitan. The show dealt heavily with grief, suicidal tendencies, abusive men, and the colonialists' negative feelings toward the Indigenous community. The Glass Dome told the story of a criminal psychologist who returned to her hometown to attend her stepmother's funeral and found herself involved in investigating a series of murders seemingly connected to her past.  Hound's Hill centered on a Polish author who returned to his hometown to come to terms with a crime he may have committed, only to discover that a serial killer is on the loose, killing the perpetrators—and his name could be next on the list. So, yes, when I watched The Hunting Wives, I completely understood why Netflix bought the rights to this show. What confuses me is, who is this series ...

Steel Ball Run: JoJo's Bizarre Adventure 2026 Tv Series Review Trailer Poster

The Netflix adaptation of *Steel Ball Run*—whose two-part premiere masterfully condenses the first two volumes of the manga—stands as a celebration of Hirohiko Araki’s creative clean slate. While *Steel Ball Run* serves as a highly recommended entry point into *JoJo's Bizarre Adventure* for newcomers, much of its value lies in a prior familiarity with the six-part saga created by Araki. And although the prospect of diving into such a vast and chaotic world may seem intimidating, that very familiarity makes the thematic brilliance of *Steel Ball Run* all the more poignant. Throughout its first six parts, *JoJo's Bizarre Adventure* told a fascinating saga centered on the legacy of the Joestar family. The franchise's seventh installment, *Steel Ball Run*, transports this globe-trotting adventure story to the United States of the 1890s. Araki has crafted a standalone narrative continuity that draws heavily upon the mythology already established within the *JoJo* universe.  Star...
