Weak Hero Class 2 Season 2 Review Trailer Poster

Following the popularity of Weak Hero's first season, streaming giant Netflix renewed Wavve's K-drama for a second season, which will premiere on April 25, 2025. A one-minute teaser for the second season was recently released, and I want to talk about everything we can expect from Weak Hero Class 2 and try to connect some dots with the first season finale. For those who haven't seen the first season or want to refresh their memories, I wrote a detailed analysis in my previous article. And in this one, I'm going straight to my theories.

At the end of the first season, our protagonist, Si-eun, was transferred to a new school in Yeongdeungpo called Eunjang High School, which, by all accounts, seemed worse than the previous Byuksan High School. The teachers themselves had been hitting students on the head to discipline them, which may reveal a lot about what Si-eun will face at this new school. In a way, educators themselves teach that "violence is the answer to everything," and students will undoubtedly apply these lessons in their teacher's absence.

Stars: Park Ji-hoon, Choi Hyun-wook, Hong Kyung

The trailer for Weak Hero Class 2 begins with Si-eun hitting a student in the head with a brick. In the voiceover, she calls out to her best friend, Ahn Su-ho, the same boy who was brutally beaten in the previous episode, ending up in a coma, and Si-eun blamed himself for his tragedy. In the trailer, Si-eun tells Su-ho that she got into another fight and that she's sorry. At their previous school, Su-ho had asked his friend not to shy away from violence and to stay away from trouble as much as possible. Su-ho knew that Si-eun had a tendency to lose control when she got angry, and in a moment like that, she could go to any extreme, even killing a classmate if no one stopped her. This is why Su-ho always stood by Si-eun like a guardian angel, but at this new school, no one protected him from his own anger.

At the end of the first season, Su-ho's grandmother arrived from the village as soon as she learned of her grandson's injuries. Obviously, Su-ho's grandmother didn't have enough money for the expensive treatment, but everything was resolved after Beom-seok's father, Assemblyman Oh Jin-won, offered to pay the bills, as it was his own adopted son who was responsible for Su-ho's condition.

Si-eun often visited her best friend in the hospital while he was in a coma, but when he was busy with his transfer, he discovered that Su-ho's grandmother had gone to the village with Su-ho. Si-eun tried to contact her several times, but she didn't respond to his messages or calls. I think Si-eun still remembers her friend from time to time, and I wouldn't be surprised if Su-ho makes a triumphant return in the second season to save Si-eun when his life is in danger or he's surrounded by trouble. Perhaps Si-eun, along with his old best friend and his new friends, will face the threats at the new school and, this time, get a happy ending. Well, that's just wishful thinking.

There's a rumor that Si-eun is lurking around the new school. The students believe the new transfer student, Si-eun, is a psychopath who killed a boy from his previous school. Well, that's not true, but yes, the reason Si-eun was expelled from Byuksan High School was because he hit two classmates, or bullies to be exact, with a fire extinguisher, since they were the ones responsible for Su-ho's condition. He even beat up his second best friend, Beom-Seok, the assemblyman's husband, in front of the entire class, resulting in his expulsion.

The assemblyman was one of the most influential people in the city, and although Si-eun managed to blackmail him with the video of her son repeatedly kicking Su-ho in the head, he did everything he could to ensure that Si-eun wouldn't get admitted to any decent school in the city. It's possible that it was the assemblyman or his henchmen who spread such a vicious rumor about Si-eun, or perhaps they blamed Si-eun for Su-ho's condition, since the former didn't die, but he wasn't in any better shape either. Whatever the case, Si-eun uses the rumor to her own advantage and asks the students at the new school to stay away from him so she can focus on her studies like before and leave the damned institutions to go to university. But, as always, things don't go as planned, and Si-eun finds herself embroiled in yet another mess.

As the new session begins, Si-eun makes two new friends who, for some reason, are very similar to the ones she had at her previous school. There's a shy, introverted boy with glasses who resembles Beom-seok, and then there's an outgoing boy who always wears hoodies, like Su-ho. At first, Si-eun tries to stay away from these people and doesn't want to make new friends again.

Heated Rivalry 2025 Tv Series Review Trailer Poster

Letterkenny veteran Jacob Tierney wrote and directed the six-part series about two rising hockey stars who fall passionately in love. Sidney Crosby and Alexander Ovechkin entered the NHL in 2005. For more than 20 years, the Canadian star and his Russian counterpart have waged one of the greatest rivalries in the sport. They've won titles, medals, and scoring crowns, and both are still playing (with the same franchises that drafted them), having earned their place among hockey's all-time elite. Creator: Jacob Tierney Stars: Hudson Williams, Connor Storrie, Callan Potter That's the underlying premise at the heart of HBO Max and Crave's new six-part romantic drama, Heated Rivalry, based on the book by Rachel Reid and written and directed by Letterkenny veteran Jacob Tierney. Don't expect many direct similarities to Letterkenny, though. Heated Rivalry may have some comedic elements, as relationships between passionate men are often entertaining, but it's a sincere a...

Dhurandhar 2025 Movie Review Trailer Poster

Dhurandhar's story unfolds against the backdrop of significant terrorist attacks in India, focusing particularly on harrowing incidents such as the hijacking of flight IC-814 in Kandahar in 1999, the Parliament attack in 2001, and the devastating 26/11 Mumbai attacks in 2008. The film depicts a daring covert operation led by the head of India's Intelligence Bureau, Ajay Sanyal, played by R. Madhavan. The film delves into the underbelly of Karachi, particularly the dangerous Lyari region, following the journey of Hamza, played by Ranveer Singh.  Hamza is introduced as an Indian agent who infiltrates Karachi's notoriously violent gang culture to dismantle terrorist operations from within. Structured in several chapters, the film introduces the viewer to a complex narrative that explores themes of revenge, sacrifice, and national security. The first half successfully intertwines traumatic real-life events with fiction, creating a thought-provoking plot that encourages audience...

Kantara A Legend: Chapter 1 2025 Movie Review Trailer Poster

The ending of Kantara: Chapter 1 returns us to the original film, a sequence in which young Shiva wonders what happened to the well that physically existed there many years ago, when the Naga tribe lived in harmony with nature, only to be forced to endure the invasion and destruction of the land they were supposed to protect.  The film is a winding tale of three cultures, two of which seem to drive the story about class and greed similarly to the original film; however, the third element is the Kadapa tribe, a people who seek to appropriate the power of the deities for themselves rather than worship them. At its core, it's a film about unity. It's about bringing people together to merge tradition with contemporary ideology. Kantara: Chapter 1 takes us directly into the heart of the Bangra Kingdom, a prosperous state with trade and all modern amenities, but with a powerful and greedy king. Director: Rishab Shetty Writers: Rishab Shetty, Anirudh Mahesh, Shanil Guru Stars: Rishab ...
