Just a day after returning to Instagram, Meghan Markle took to the platform to share the first trailer for her upcoming Netflix lifestyle series, “With Love, Meghan.”

In the trailer, the Duchess of Sussex shows off her culinary and gardening skills with special guests including Mindy Kaling, Roy Choi, Alice Waters, and of course, her husband, Prince Harry. The show’s official plot description reads: “This inspiring series, executive produced by Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, reinvents the lifestyle programming genre, combining practical how-to’s and candid conversations with friends, new and old. Meghan shares personal tips and tricks, embracing fun over perfection, and highlights how easy it can be to create beauty, even in the unexpected. She and her guests roll up their sleeves in the kitchen, garden, and beyond, and invite you to do the same.”

“With Love, Meghan,” Netflix’s new lifestyle series premiering next week, is something of a culmination for its creator and star, Meghan, Duchess of Sussex. The show casts the princess as a perfectly groomed domestic goddess, cooking and entertaining friends at her California coastal home — a role she has apparently aspired to for more than a decade.
Meghan’s ambitions to be the “Martha Stewart of Montecito for millennials,” as a recent New York Times guest essay put it, were set back first by her courtship and marriage to Prince Harry, in 2018, and then by the couple’s public feud with the British royal family.
In 2020, Harry and Meghan announced they were stepping back from royal duties, prompting a flurry of gossip and recriminations in the palace. The couple spent the next few years cleverly telling (and monetizing) their side of the story in a series of media initiatives: an interview with Oprah Winfrey; a six-episode Netflix docuseries, “Harry & Meghan”; and a bestselling autobiography by Prince Harry, “Spare.”
But throughout it all, Meghan showed glimpses of her Ina Garten side. Remember when she showed Oprah her chicken coop? Or when a London bakery posted a photo of the handwritten thank-you note on personalized stationery she’d sent to her staff?
Directed by Michael Steed, “With Love, Meghan” consists of eight 33-minute episodes and is produced by Markle and Harry’s Archewell Productions and The Intellectual Property Corporation (IPC), part of Sony Pictures Television. Executive producers include Markle and Chanel Pysnik for Archewell, Aaron Saidman and Eli Holzman for IPC, and showrunner Leah Hariton.
“With Love, Meghan” premieres on Netflix on January 15.
