Delicious 2025 Movie Review Trailer Poster

Well, not many rich people survived the end of Netflix’s Delicious because, spoiler spoiler, Teodora and her little anarchist group ate them all. It’s quite ironic though; just like the rich are hungry for luxury and all that materialistic stuff, Teodora and her friends are hungry for the rich man’s flesh. But you might ask, what are they trying to achieve? This is where things get murky. In the pursuit of wealth, the rich widen the gap between the rich and the poor, thus promoting inequality in society. And what do Teodora and her group want to eliminate? They kill the rich to eliminate this class divide so that the rich can no longer exploit the poor. So, without further ado, let’s take a look at all those people who became delicious meals for the poor.

The first thing Teodora attacked in the house was a marten, a kind of rodent. She told John that these rodents are a pest that would take over the entire house if he, being the man of the house, did nothing about it. Well, it was not quite clear whether she was calling the rich the rodents that were slowly taking over the country through capitalism, or whether it was Teodora herself who was going to poison the entire family with her arrival. Whatever the case, Teodora convinced John to kill the wounded marten with a fire iron, the same tool that Teodora and her friends used at the end of the movie to kill John. The entire scene perfectly foreshadowed what would happen to the family at the end.

Teodora and her four friends, Prince, Bojan, Estelle, and Lucien, were members of the staff of the luxurious hotel, La Fontaine, which was probably visited by tourists from all over the world. During Esther's first night out, Teodora took the woman of the house to a nightclub where Esther met another tourist named Amber who, like Esther, had befriended the hotel staff. Inside the nightclub, Amber told Esther that she really loved the country and was thinking of buying something there and staying forever.

If I'm not overdoing it, then it sounds a bit like colonization, at the very least. I mean, it's a new way of colonizing a country and staying there forever, even when no one has invited you. So yeah, Amber deserved to die for her slip of the tongue. That same night, Estelle, who was probably having an affair with Amber, took her to the beach and drowned her in the water under Esther's nose. Later, the group probably cut Amber into pieces and gave her flesh to Esther, telling her that she wouldn't get anything fresher than this. What Esther didn't know is that, in the near future, these people would be feasting on her flesh as well. Amber’s dress, sandals, and purse lying on the sand confirm her death at the end.

From the beginning, Teodora had been checking boxes based on Esther’s personality, confirming that this narcissistic, workaholic woman who was born into luxury has every reason to die for the sake of humanity. Esther asked John not to take Teodora to the hospital even though she knew Teodora needed immediate medical attention, but people like Esther only thought about themselves. She was there at her father’s villa to spend a holiday with her family and didn’t want to get into legal trouble. She was even willing to risk Teodora’s life for her own peace of mind, which I guess tells you a lot about a person’s character. This was the woman who bought herself the latest iPhone at the slightest inconvenience, but left a small amount of money for Teodora on the night of the accident, believing that a poor woman would be happy with whatever she received even after facing such an ordeal. I guess these two things gave Teodora and her friends enough reason to attack Esther and her family, and as Teodora got to know Esther more, she became sure that she had made the right decision.

In the ending of Delicious, Lucien brought Esther to Estelle's birthday party, where she was cornered and eaten alive by cannibals. Also, in the apartment, Esther saw Estelle feasting on the flesh of a man who looked like one of the hotel's tourists. Maybe Estelle made an excellent cocktail for the man and convinced him to attend her birthday party. Funny, the man didn't know that he was going to be the group's cake. Esther even saw some packages of raw meat in Lucien's refrigerator, which, if they didn't belong to Amber, could be from someone the group had killed before attacking Amber and Esther.

Out of all the people who were killed by the group, I think it was Cora who deserved it the most. I mean, while other people were prejudiced in a subtle way, Cora didn't miss any opportunity to belittle people she considered inferior to her.

A Minecraft Movie 2025 Movie Review Trailer Poster

If you were to throw a bucket in Hollywood today, you could easily find a dozen video game adaptations in development, either as TV series or movies. They're all vying for the same thing: critical acclaim, huge box office revenue, or a sudden surge in streaming subscribers thanks to established fandoms. But it's a long shot: Will they become a "Borderlands" movie flop or a "Last of Us" hit? Next month, Legendary Entertainment, Warner Bros. Pictures, and Microsoft are going for box office gold with a different kind of game-to-movie adaptation: "A Minecraft Movie." Director: Jared Hess Writers: Chris Bowman, Hubbel Palmer, Neil Widener Stars: Jennifer Coolidge, Jason Momoa, Emma Myers For the uninitiated, Microsoft-owned "Minecraft" is a sandbox game that immerses players in the Overworld, a whimsical dimension made up of blocky, box-like voxels. There's no single story or single way to play: users can craft items, build structures, ba...

Straw 2025 Movie Review Trailer Poster

The prolific creator's latest film is a typically melodramatic, yet powerful and relevant, depiction of the systemic miseries that drive a hapless heroine into a police standoff. Even die-hard fans of the tireless Tyler Perry sometimes wish he'd slow down a bit and focus on quality over quantity. But Netflix's "Straw" possesses a cultural urgency that elevates it above its usual repertoire of melodramatic comedies and dramas, despite its flaws. Starring Taraji P. Henson as a single mother burdened with more crises than one woman can handle in one day—resulting in a "Dog Day Afternoon"-style hostage situation—"Straw" exhibits the usual flaws of its writer-director-producer. Director: Tyler Perry Writer: Tyler Perry Stars: Taraji P. Henson, Sherri Shepherd, Teyana Taylor It's overloaded with plot devices, histrionics, and in-your-face messages, with an overabundance of everything. Yet what breaks the camel's back for this subdued heroine ...
