Be Happy 2025 Movie Review Trailer Poster

Be Happy, directed by Remo D'Souza, revolves around the life of a bank employee named Shiv Rastogi and his relationship with his daughter, Dhara. The premise of a single father raising his daughter after her mother's death, understanding her sensitivities, and ensuring that she understands life for what it is, held great promise, but the filmmakers failed to capitalize on it. The film lacked emotional depth, so the narrative never accentuated the characters' performances.

Abhishek Bachchan and Inayat Verma were fabulous in their respective roles, but the impact is limited without the support of a solid script. While the director and his team of writers tried to create some heartbreaking sequences, it was never enough, as they felt superficial. That said, the film is not unworkable, but by tackling certain mature themes, audiences are expected to find something new to reflect on. That didn't happen to me, but you can definitely watch Be Happy and you probably won't be so disappointed.

Dhara lived with her father, Shiv, and her maternal grandfather, Nadar. Dhara was a mature woman for her age and knew exactly how to deal with both men. Her father was an extremely protective man, a little strict with her at times. But her grandfather was her partner in crime and made sure everyone had fun and enjoyed themselves.

Dhara, besides being a very sensitive person, was also an exceptional dancer. Everyone at her school believed she could pursue the same profession, but Shiv didn't want that for his daughter. He wanted her to have a decent job and for her hobby to remain just a hobby. But one day, Maggie, a renowned dance teacher who ran her own academy in Bombay, came to Dhara's school. Maggie organized a dance competition and saw Dhara perform there.

Maggie was amazed and offered the little girl the opportunity to train with her. Dhara was thrilled, but as soon as her teachers asked Shiv for permission, he immediately rejected them. The idea of sending his daughter to Bombay seemed absurd to him. He simply wasn't willing to hear a word from Dhara or anyone else about it. But over time, Shiv remembered the promise he made to his late wife that he would fulfill Dhara's dreams no matter what. Mr. Nadar tried to make his son-in-law understand that no matter what he did, life would surprise him and that not everything would go according to his plans. Shiv had been unable to get over the loss of his wife for eight long years. Her passing had left an inner void he could never fill. Mr. Nadar told Shiv it was time to move on in life, and that was when he decided to move on and go to Bombay with his daughter.

Dhara and Shiv had a hard time adjusting to Bombay. The streets were crowded, the accommodations were small, and on top of that, that peace of mind, that tranquility that Shiv was so accustomed to, was missing in Bombay. But little by little, they both adjusted to the new place. Dhara trained daily with Maggie and finally managed to pass the auditions for the dance reality show she so longed to be a part of. The judges of India's Superstar Dancer were amazed by her performance, and Shiv, who was there watching his little girl, understood how much she meant to her. As the reality show progressed, there came a time when the competitors had to perform with a relative.

Dhara's grandfather arrived to dance with his granddaughter, but he got injured while showcasing her talent. Dhara had no choice but to convince her father to dance with her. Shiv was horrified by the idea of dancing in public and making a fool of himself on national television. Maggie and Dhara consoled him, and he finally gave in. Shiv took a 10-day leave from his bank and trained with Maggie day and night. Shiv and Dhara shone on the dance floor. No one imagined Shiv would be capable of such a performance, but he managed to channel his emotions and love for his late wife into his dance.

The judges gave them a standing ovation, but suddenly, Dhara fainted and fell to the floor. Shiv and Mr. Nadar took her to the hospital, and after a thorough checkup, the doctors concluded that the little girl was suffering from osteogenic sarcoma, or bone cancer. Shiv was stunned, and so was Mr. Nadar. They didn't know how to process the information and convey it to Dhara. They felt as if their whole lives had been shattered in an instant. But then they gathered their courage, for they had to be there for Dhara and support the little girl in any way they could. The doctors told Shiv that with proper care, there was hope for Dhara to begin to recover.

Doctors told Shiv that if she received proper care, there was hope for Dhara to begin to recover. Dhara was eager to get back on the dance floor, but over the next few weeks, she realized it wouldn't be possible. Dhara couldn't even stand on her own two feet, and she was such a perceptive and mature girl that she decided to accept that she would have to leave the dance reality show. The showrunners had told Dhara they would wait for her to recover, but she didn't think it was fair to the other contestants. So she told the showrunners and told her father not to feel bad. Shiv was disheartened; that girl only wanted one thing in life, and that too had been taken away from her.

During the Be Happy finale, Shiv discovered that Dhara used to write notes to her mother and keep them in her piggy bank. Whenever Dhara really wanted something to happen, she would write a note to her mother asking her to help her achieve her goal. Dhara felt like her mother was watching her and would never turn down her request. In one of those notes, Dhara had written that she wanted to participate in the finals of the dance reality show. Shiv realized that he couldn't let the little girl's hope fade.

He understood that he needed to do something to make her happy. So, Shiv spoke to the event organizers with Maggie's help and took Dhara, who was admitted to the hospital at the time, to participate in the reality show. Dhara couldn't even stand, but Shiv held her hand and made sure that his little girl performed for the world and fulfilled her dream. Shiv probably understood how important it was to keep chasing your dreams. Shiv, who never wanted his daughter to come to Mumbai, danced with her just so she wouldn't lose hope. I believe that in the future, Dhara will recover from her illness and return to doing what she was always destined to do: dance.

Cassandra 2025 Tv Series Review Trailer Poster

The science fiction genre is a testament to man’s obsession with robots. The idea of creating an entity that would take care of mundane or even complex tasks has always been an exciting prospect, and it’s almost instinctive to imagine advancements in robotics whenever we talk about the future. With Tesla’s Optimus breaking the internet recently, having a home robot may no longer be a far-fetched dream. The German Netflix series Cassandra revolves around a robot that was created to be a house companion in the early 70s but has since been abandoned. When a family moved into the smart home, the system was suddenly activated and soon trouble began. The story of the rogue robot is not a new one; it usually starts with a bug in programming or an advancement in technology that makes robots realize they can defeat humans to take over their world. But Cassandra is not your typical story of a robot going rogue; it’s much more detailed than that. And while dramatically the details and back...
