One of the best horror films of last year, In a Violent Nature also breathed new life into its own subgenre (the slasher) by telling the story entirely from the perspective of the evil presence stalking a wooded area. Soderbergh's Presence seems to take the same approach as the classic haunted house story and may very well end up being one of the best horror films of this year.

Directed by Christian Schultz from a script co-written with Peter Ambrosio, Presence stars Jenna Lyng Adams (The Kominsky Method), Dave Davis (The Vigil) and Alexandria DeBerry (Pursuit).

“After leaving New York following a nervous breakdown, Jennifer (The Kominsky Method's Jenna Lyng Adams) receives some good news from her best friend about their joint venture. Within an hour, Jennifer boards a private jet and walks down the dock to a billionaire's private yacht.

Everything seems to be going well, except Jennifer is suffering from violent and disturbing visions. Is her uncontrolled anxiety trying to sabotage her once again...or has a sinister presence taken hold?

Presence is produced by Donny Broussard, Thomas Johnston, Isaiah LaBorde, Murray Anthony Roth, and John Paul Summers. The ALLaBorde Films production premieres on VOD in the US on November 17th from XYZ Films.
