I'm conflicted. I love the concept of the Cunk series, the mockumentary style, but the jokes are mostly scatological and genital humor that a 14-year-old boy would be proud of.

What made the early Cunk mockumentaries pretty fascinating is that the humor could have a hint of genital and scatological humor, but was generally witty. In this special, it seems like the writers decided that virtually every word had to have a double entendre. It just felt very childish, silly, and a sad, weak attempt at humor.
Director: Al Campbell
Writers: Charlie Brooker, Ben Caudell, Erika Ehler
Stars: Diane Morgan, Michelle Greenidge, Charles Aitken
The second serious problem is the excessive repetition of Cunk's poor social skills in mentioning vile information using his ex-boyfriend and now, a new character, his aunt. This technique worked well when spaced out throughout the episodes. It lost its impact when condensed into a one-hour special. Sadly, the actual scientific (dare we call it “thoughtful”?) information that was present, however briefly, in every previous Cunk episode, was lost in this quest for a laugh a minute.
Having said all that, Morgan is such a brilliant actress that her expressiveness alone is enough to create fun. Thanks to her, this special soars higher than the script deserves.
