Public domain nursery rhymes may soon have a new source of terror, potentially eclipsing even Cocomelon. Uncork'd Entertainment will present us with a series of horror films inspired by these innocent rhymes.
Leading the macabre parade of nursery rhymes is “Three Blind Mice,” a rather liberal take on the well-known somber nursery rhyme in which the mice turn out to be sinister, blind mutant killers. Directed by Pierre B in his directorial debut, the film features a cast that includes May Kelly, Lila Lasso, Natasha Tosini, Samantha Cull and Danielle Ronaldstar.

Abi is in the middle of a chilling withdrawal. Her family, seeking respite from the city and its troubles, whisks her away to a secluded cabin in the woods. Unbeknownst to them, the story “The Three Blind Mice” is more than just a bedtime story, and they may be next on the terrifying menu.
This marks a significant departure from the norm. Hopefully, it won't follow in the footsteps of “Winnie The Pooh: Blood & Honey,” where the novelty wore out quickly. Interestingly, May Kelly plays a role in both films, making for an intriguing connection.
“Three Blind Mice” is just the beginning of Uncork’d Entertainment’s nursery rhyme-inspired horror films slated for release next month. Another chilling entry in this genre is “Mary Had a Little Lamb,” which similarly infuses a dark, blood-soaked twist into a once kid-friendly story. This trend of reinventing children's songs as horror stories appears to be gaining momentum, following the financial success of “Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey,” despite receiving mixed reviews.
