The Other Zoey 2023 Movie Review Trailer Poster

The After franchise released its latest film, After Everything, on September 13. Although Josephine Langford appeared much less in the latest installment of the hit Wattpad adaptation, she will have more screen time in another upcoming project hitting theaters soon.

The Australian actress will no longer play Tessa Young, but she will continue in the romantic genre in her latest project, The Other Zoey. Brainstorm Media's romantic comedy centers on a college student who poses as someone else's girlfriend after a car accident. Unlike After, Langford's next film is more comedic than dramatic and also features Netflix alums Drew Starkey and Archie Renaux.

Langford is expected to continue in theaters for a little while longer with the limited release of The Other Zoey. After Everything landed on the big screen on September 13 and just a month later, the actress will have another title available in theaters on October 20.

Director: Sara Zandieh
Writer: Matthew Tabak
Stars: Josephine Langford, Drew Starkey, Archie Renaux

The romantic comedy will also be on demand shortly after the film's release on November 10. In the US, the film will be distributed directly to streaming in Canada, Australia and the United Kingdom on October 20. The Other Zoey will be available to stream via Prime Video in both locations.

There is! Brainstorm Media shared the official trailer for The Other Zoey on September 21, and right off the bat, it looks like the movie fits all the juicy romantic comedy criteria. From a love triangle to the enemies-to-lovers trope, the trailer features a messy love story between a college nerd and a jock who accidentally loses his memory. Although Zach MacLaren (Starkey) is miles away from what Zoey Miller (Langford) would classify as attractive, she is forced to like him when he forgets the true identity of her girlfriend. While she poses as Zach's girlfriend and attends his family gatherings, Zoey begins to warm to the college heartthrob while also having a slight crush on Zach's cousin (Miles played by Archie Renaux). With the lies piling up, the protagonist must decide not only who she will end up with, but also reveal her charade to Zach and her loved ones.

Josephine Langford is best known for her work as Tessa Young in the After film franchise. After five films, the Australian actress could leave the Hardin drama aside, but she will take her experiences on the set of the franchise to other projects such as The Other Zoey.

Instead of starring alongside Hero Fiennes Tiffin, the actress will star alongside two Netflix alums, Drew Starkey as Zach MacLaren and Archie Renaux as Miles. Starkey might be best known for his role as Rafe, Sarah Cameron's (Madelyn Cline) psychotic brother on Outer Banks, but he has also starred in other films such as The Hate U Give and the Hellraiser reboot. Meanwhile, Renaux has generated a lot of buzz for his role in Shadow and Bone. In addition to The Other Zoey, Renaux is expected to star in another upcoming project alongside Riverdale's Camila Mendes. The movie is called Upgraded and it will also be a romantic movie directed by Carlson Young.

Other actors who are also part of the cast of the film are Mallory Johnson (WeCrashed) as Elle, Zoey's best friend, Heather Graham (License to Drive) as Zoey's mother, Maggie Thurmon (Charlie Summer) as Zoey Wallace , Zach's real girlfriend, Andie McDowell (Maid) as Zach's mother, Connie MacLaren, and Patrick Fabien (Better Call Saul) as Zach's father, Matt MacLaren.

Matthew Tabak wrote the script and is a producer on the film. Gulfstream Pictures' Mike Karz and Bill Bindley, Matt Luber and Lena Rocklin are also credited as producers. Michael Cuddy and Nate Bryson are the executive producers behind The Other Zoey.

Heated Rivalry 2025 Tv Series Review Trailer Poster

Letterkenny veteran Jacob Tierney wrote and directed the six-part series about two rising hockey stars who fall passionately in love. Sidney Crosby and Alexander Ovechkin entered the NHL in 2005. For more than 20 years, the Canadian star and his Russian counterpart have waged one of the greatest rivalries in the sport. They've won titles, medals, and scoring crowns, and both are still playing (with the same franchises that drafted them), having earned their place among hockey's all-time elite. Creator: Jacob Tierney Stars: Hudson Williams, Connor Storrie, Callan Potter That's the underlying premise at the heart of HBO Max and Crave's new six-part romantic drama, Heated Rivalry, based on the book by Rachel Reid and written and directed by Letterkenny veteran Jacob Tierney. Don't expect many direct similarities to Letterkenny, though. Heated Rivalry may have some comedic elements, as relationships between passionate men are often entertaining, but it's a sincere a...

Dhurandhar 2025 Movie Review Trailer Poster

Dhurandhar's story unfolds against the backdrop of significant terrorist attacks in India, focusing particularly on harrowing incidents such as the hijacking of flight IC-814 in Kandahar in 1999, the Parliament attack in 2001, and the devastating 26/11 Mumbai attacks in 2008. The film depicts a daring covert operation led by the head of India's Intelligence Bureau, Ajay Sanyal, played by R. Madhavan. The film delves into the underbelly of Karachi, particularly the dangerous Lyari region, following the journey of Hamza, played by Ranveer Singh.  Hamza is introduced as an Indian agent who infiltrates Karachi's notoriously violent gang culture to dismantle terrorist operations from within. Structured in several chapters, the film introduces the viewer to a complex narrative that explores themes of revenge, sacrifice, and national security. The first half successfully intertwines traumatic real-life events with fiction, creating a thought-provoking plot that encourages audience...

Kantara A Legend: Chapter 1 2025 Movie Review Trailer Poster

The ending of Kantara: Chapter 1 returns us to the original film, a sequence in which young Shiva wonders what happened to the well that physically existed there many years ago, when the Naga tribe lived in harmony with nature, only to be forced to endure the invasion and destruction of the land they were supposed to protect.  The film is a winding tale of three cultures, two of which seem to drive the story about class and greed similarly to the original film; however, the third element is the Kadapa tribe, a people who seek to appropriate the power of the deities for themselves rather than worship them. At its core, it's a film about unity. It's about bringing people together to merge tradition with contemporary ideology. Kantara: Chapter 1 takes us directly into the heart of the Bangra Kingdom, a prosperous state with trade and all modern amenities, but with a powerful and greedy king.
