WildBrain has unveiled a new series in partnership with Netflix as part of its slate of original live-action content for Family Channel.

There will be a new Claudia when she returns to Interview with the Vampire, and she's more bloodthirsty than ever.

Creator: Tommy Lynch
Stars: Niko Ceci, Zebastin Borjeau, Ana Araujo

AMC released the first look at Season 2 of the TV adaptation of Anne Rice's novel at New York Comic Con on Thursday, and the photo and video reveal the debut of Delainey Hayles as she takes on the role of the previously played teenage vampire by Bailey Bass in season 1.

In the preview scene, Louis de Pointe du Lac (Jacob Anderson) and Claudia are taken to a farm by Santiago (Ben Daniels), the lead vampire actor at the Vampire Theatre. As her vampire coven eagerly takes over the mansion, feasting on the humans inside, Claudia gleefully participates in the bloodbath.

I Woke a Vampire (pictured, 16 x 22 minutes), is produced and developed by WildBrain in association with Netflix. The show follows the journey of self-discovery of a 13-year-old half-human, half-vampire girl as she navigates school, deals with a vampire hunter, and even takes part in a musical.

Thomas Lynch (The Other Kingdom, The Secret World of Alex Mack) is the creator and showrunner of the series, which premieres on WildBrain's Family Channel this spring and on Netflix later this year. The series was made with the financial participation of the Canadian Film or Video Production Tax Credit and Ontario Creates, according to a press release.

Family Channel has also confirmed that it will premiere Home Sweet Rome (13 x 30 minutes) this spring. It is produced by Red Monk Studio, First Generation Films and Toronto's Superprod Group and centers on a 13-year-old girl who moves to Rome and tries to adapt to the city, new friends and her famous Italian pop star stepmother. . Other broadcasters that have previously adopted it include BBC, ARD (Germany), and HBO Max and Cartoon Network in the US.

The previously announced 90-minute film Life with Luca, produced by Toronto-based Shaftesbury, will also come to fruition with a release date set for February 20. The spin-off of the popular Canadian teen comedy Life with Derek (which premiered in 2005 on the Family Channel) follows stepbrothers Derek and Casey, now adults who are dealing with their own teenage children.

Daphne Ballon (creator of Life with Derek) and Jeff Biederman (writer of Life with Derek) created the film. WildBrain is the global distributor of Life with Luca and the Life with Derek brand.

Heated Rivalry 2025 Tv Series Review Trailer Poster

Letterkenny veteran Jacob Tierney wrote and directed the six-part series about two rising hockey stars who fall passionately in love. Sidney Crosby and Alexander Ovechkin entered the NHL in 2005. For more than 20 years, the Canadian star and his Russian counterpart have waged one of the greatest rivalries in the sport. They've won titles, medals, and scoring crowns, and both are still playing (with the same franchises that drafted them), having earned their place among hockey's all-time elite. Creator: Jacob Tierney Stars: Hudson Williams, Connor Storrie, Callan Potter That's the underlying premise at the heart of HBO Max and Crave's new six-part romantic drama, Heated Rivalry, based on the book by Rachel Reid and written and directed by Letterkenny veteran Jacob Tierney. Don't expect many direct similarities to Letterkenny, though. Heated Rivalry may have some comedic elements, as relationships between passionate men are often entertaining, but it's a sincere a...

Dhurandhar 2025 Movie Review Trailer Poster

Dhurandhar's story unfolds against the backdrop of significant terrorist attacks in India, focusing particularly on harrowing incidents such as the hijacking of flight IC-814 in Kandahar in 1999, the Parliament attack in 2001, and the devastating 26/11 Mumbai attacks in 2008. The film depicts a daring covert operation led by the head of India's Intelligence Bureau, Ajay Sanyal, played by R. Madhavan. The film delves into the underbelly of Karachi, particularly the dangerous Lyari region, following the journey of Hamza, played by Ranveer Singh.  Hamza is introduced as an Indian agent who infiltrates Karachi's notoriously violent gang culture to dismantle terrorist operations from within. Structured in several chapters, the film introduces the viewer to a complex narrative that explores themes of revenge, sacrifice, and national security. The first half successfully intertwines traumatic real-life events with fiction, creating a thought-provoking plot that encourages audience...

Kantara A Legend: Chapter 1 2025 Movie Review Trailer Poster

The ending of Kantara: Chapter 1 returns us to the original film, a sequence in which young Shiva wonders what happened to the well that physically existed there many years ago, when the Naga tribe lived in harmony with nature, only to be forced to endure the invasion and destruction of the land they were supposed to protect.  The film is a winding tale of three cultures, two of which seem to drive the story about class and greed similarly to the original film; however, the third element is the Kadapa tribe, a people who seek to appropriate the power of the deities for themselves rather than worship them. At its core, it's a film about unity. It's about bringing people together to merge tradition with contemporary ideology. Kantara: Chapter 1 takes us directly into the heart of the Bangra Kingdom, a prosperous state with trade and all modern amenities, but with a powerful and greedy king. Director: Rishab Shetty Writers: Rishab Shetty, Anirudh Mahesh, Shanil Guru Stars: Rishab ...
