Bobcat Moretti, sport becomes a way of life... a path, so to speak, towards salvation. Co-written with director Margolies, Tim Realbuto stars as Bobby Moretti, an overweight and broken man recently diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. Now that he lives as a burden to his brother Charlie (Matt Peters) and his wife Debra (Taryn Manning), Bobby is told in no uncertain terms that he must start paying the rent and take responsibility for the life of him
Dejected... Bobby walks into a boxing gym run by Jo (Vivica A. Fox). Bobby asks Jo if she's hiring. She says no, and Bobby offers to clean the sweat and blood off the boxing ring mats in exchange for training. Jo sees Bobby's determination and reluctantly agrees. Just as he's starting out, Bobby meets Boots (Sheria Irving) and the two bond as losers in life.

Skip several months later, Bobby has lost a ton of weight and has become a fixture at the gym, but he still carries the baggage of a loser...almost a gym mascot. Bobby spends so much time there that he has neglected his responsibilities to his brother and his family. He, too, stands back and watches Boots endure her abusive relationship with her baby's daddy, Tony (Jay Hieron). Bobby also has some secrets of his own, like why he chose Jo's gym, his current relationship status, and his fight with multiple sclerosis.
Bobcat Moretti is that inspiring movie we've been waiting for all year. The inspiration comes from the relationship built between Jo and Bobby. Jo is more than a boxing trainer. Jo practically becomes Bobby's life coach. She uses the discipline of boxing to focus Bobby's attention on tackling one problem after another. Jo uses the ring as a metaphor for Bobby to fight the problems in his life and discover the answers. She is almost spiritual in the way that she views Bobby's MS and has to be seen to be believed.
