The love story set in the romantic era Gadar: Ek Prem Katha, which had created a box office buzz at the time of its release, is now a route to return with its upcoming part Gadar 2.
Gadar's film was released in June 2001, and after a record number of passes at the ticket counter, the film grossed around Rs 133 crores, which is equivalent to Rs 500 crores approximately. If to talk about current time ticket prices.

Most notably, it even posed a formidable challenge to Karan Johar's Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, a film currently enjoying a thriving theatrical run. In fact, advance ticket sales for Gadar 2 in traditional single-screen cinemas have surpassed that of this year's biggest hit, Pathaan. Esteemed film trade analyst Taran Adarsh has forecast a grand opening collection of Rs 35 crore for the film.
Reflecting on his character Tara Singh at the 2023 Jagran Film Festival, Sunny Deol enthused, “Tara Singh embodies our very own Hulk, Superman. Every individual wishes to witness the strength of the Hulk and the prowess of Superman. He believes that the big screen hero will rectify all that is wrong. Just as there are Marvel Comics superheroes, we have our own Tara Singh. These powers are not cultivated through physical training, but are rooted in emotional power."
However, in recent days a lot of rumors have been going around about the upcoming release dates of Hindi films. Also, there were rumors that the sequel might be delayed, but the filmmaker's clarification disproves all those rumors. Now, the creators announced that the sequel is scheduled to release on August 11, 2023.
