The Mother 2023 Movie Review Trailer Poster Online

Jennifer Lopez is a killer and a mother in Netflix's upcoming action flick, titled "The Mother," hitting the streamer this Mother's Day weekend.

In the newly released trailer, the international singer, dancer and actress plays a former assassin who left her and her family's old life behind to protect her now 12-year-old daughter. The trailer reveals that the FBI reached a deal with Lopez after several agents were killed and two dangerous men were still on the loose. After her daughter is kidnapped many years later, Lopez's character must come out of hiding from her and re-enter her life to save her. Along the way, she tortures, shoots, stabs, and headbutts the kidnappers' men, teaching her daughter how to survive in the face of danger.

Director: Niki Caro
Writers: Andrea Berloff, Peter Craig, Misha Green
Stars: Jennifer Lopez, Gael García Bernal, Paul Raci

“I'm a murderer, but I'm also a mother,” Lopez says in the trailer, perfectly encapsulating the movie in one line. The cast includes Joseph Fiennes, Lucy Paez, Omari Hardwick, Paul Raci, and Gael García Bernal. Here's the official motto: "A deadly female assassin comes out of hiding to protect the daughter she gave away years before, while she was on the run from dangerous men."

"The Mother" is directed by Niki Caro, and Misha Green, Andrea Berloff and Peter Craig wrote the script, with Green's story. Producers include Lopez, Green, Elaine Goldsmith-Thomas, Benny Medina, Roy Lee, Miri Yoon, and Marc Evans. Executive Producer for Molly Allen.

“The Mother” premieres on Netflix on Friday, May 12, just in time to watch with any mom who loves hardcore action movies or J.Lo.

Heated Rivalry 2025 Tv Series Review Trailer Poster

Letterkenny veteran Jacob Tierney wrote and directed the six-part series about two rising hockey stars who fall passionately in love. Sidney Crosby and Alexander Ovechkin entered the NHL in 2005. For more than 20 years, the Canadian star and his Russian counterpart have waged one of the greatest rivalries in the sport. They've won titles, medals, and scoring crowns, and both are still playing (with the same franchises that drafted them), having earned their place among hockey's all-time elite. Creator: Jacob Tierney Stars: Hudson Williams, Connor Storrie, Callan Potter That's the underlying premise at the heart of HBO Max and Crave's new six-part romantic drama, Heated Rivalry, based on the book by Rachel Reid and written and directed by Letterkenny veteran Jacob Tierney. Don't expect many direct similarities to Letterkenny, though. Heated Rivalry may have some comedic elements, as relationships between passionate men are often entertaining, but it's a sincere a...

Dhurandhar 2025 Movie Review Trailer Poster

Dhurandhar's story unfolds against the backdrop of significant terrorist attacks in India, focusing particularly on harrowing incidents such as the hijacking of flight IC-814 in Kandahar in 1999, the Parliament attack in 2001, and the devastating 26/11 Mumbai attacks in 2008. The film depicts a daring covert operation led by the head of India's Intelligence Bureau, Ajay Sanyal, played by R. Madhavan. The film delves into the underbelly of Karachi, particularly the dangerous Lyari region, following the journey of Hamza, played by Ranveer Singh.  Hamza is introduced as an Indian agent who infiltrates Karachi's notoriously violent gang culture to dismantle terrorist operations from within. Structured in several chapters, the film introduces the viewer to a complex narrative that explores themes of revenge, sacrifice, and national security. The first half successfully intertwines traumatic real-life events with fiction, creating a thought-provoking plot that encourages audience...

Kantara A Legend: Chapter 1 2025 Movie Review Trailer Poster

The ending of Kantara: Chapter 1 returns us to the original film, a sequence in which young Shiva wonders what happened to the well that physically existed there many years ago, when the Naga tribe lived in harmony with nature, only to be forced to endure the invasion and destruction of the land they were supposed to protect.  The film is a winding tale of three cultures, two of which seem to drive the story about class and greed similarly to the original film; however, the third element is the Kadapa tribe, a people who seek to appropriate the power of the deities for themselves rather than worship them. At its core, it's a film about unity. It's about bringing people together to merge tradition with contemporary ideology. Kantara: Chapter 1 takes us directly into the heart of the Bangra Kingdom, a prosperous state with trade and all modern amenities, but with a powerful and greedy king. Director: Rishab Shetty Writers: Rishab Shetty, Anirudh Mahesh, Shanil Guru Stars: Rishab ...
