Shiny Happy People: Duggar Family Secrets 2023 Tv Series Review Trailer Poster Online

The members of the Duggar family return to television in the new Amazon Prime show, Shiny Happy People: Duggar Family Secrets. The Duggars haven't been on their own show since the end of Counting On which aired in 2020. Shiny Happy People: Duggar Family Secrets promises to delve into the Duggar family and how family members were raised, influenced by where they came from religious and behind-the-scenes facts about how the previous shows were filmed.

The Duggars became famous due to their large family and their strict religious beliefs. They followed the guidelines set by Bill Gothard and his Institute for Basic Life Principles (IBLP) and appeared on the show 19 Kids & Counting, due to their unusual lifestyle. The show was canceled following the Josh Duggar sexual abuse scandal, and its other spin-off, Counting On, was canceled following Josh's arrest and conviction for possession of illicit images of children. The numerous scandals and secrets revealed that the Duggars were not the pure and sane people they were portrayed to be, and the backlash was considerable. Since then, several of the older children have been speaking out about their experiences.

Stars: Derick Dillard, Jill Duggar Dillard, Brooke Arnold

Shiny Happy People promises an in-depth look at how IBLP worked and impacted the children who grew up with its teachings. His primary focus will be on the Duggar family due to their prominent and public history with the teachings of Bill Gothard. Us Weekly reports that the docu-series hopes to show how the Duggars' controversial beliefs led them from being one of the most beloved families on television to one of the most infamous. According to Amazon Studios, the series will see the Duggar children, as well as friends and former IBLP members, "bravely come forward and reveal the abusive practices that kept them a living nightmare."

Jill Dillard (née Duggar) and her husband Derick Dillard are participating in the Amazon show. The pair are seen talking to the producers, while Jill talks about wanting to tell her story. In the trailer, Amy Duggar, Jill's cousin, is briefly seen. Both Amy, Jill, and Derick are estranged from the Duggar family and have spoken out on Josh's conviction and sentence. Others shown in the trailer are former IBLP members, many of whom are unidentified. However, it's likely that some of these stars met the Duggars through IBLP or grew up in a family like them, and are sharing their stories like Jill.

Shiny Happy People: Duggar Family Secrets will premiere on June 2, 2023, exclusively on Amazon Prime Video. It will be a four-part documentary series that will reveal the truth about the Duggar family and their involvement in Bill Gothard's Institute for Basic Life Principles. All four episodes will premiere on the same day. Longtime fans of the Duggar family and all their scandals won't want to miss hearing firsthand from Jill, Amy and others about what they went through.

The Acolyte centers on a pair of twins, Osha and Mae (both played by Amandla Stenberg). The girls were raised by an unaffiliated coven of Force users, but despite living outside the Republic, the Jedi, including Carrie-Ann Moss's Indara, stuck their noses into these women's affairs, leading to the disaster.
