Muted 2023 Tv Series Review Trailer Poster Online

Netflix boasts an impressive catalog of original series in many languages, and none has done better than perhaps its Spanish-language contingent. With hits like Elite and Money Heist touted as impressive hits, so much so that the latter inspired an equally successful Korean remake, Netflix hopes to perhaps recreate something similar to that success with its latest original Spanish-language series, Muted, which is slated to premiere on the 19th. May on the streamer. Ahead of the crime drama's arrival, Netflix released a trailer that hints at how authorities hope to get inside the mind of the man known as the Balcony Killer.

Most of the actions people take in life are driven by a thought process, a reason behind each step they take. So when a murder occurs, a couple thrown from the balcony of their house to their deaths, the police look for a motive behind this action of the perpetrator in custody. It's even more complex when the murderer is the couple's son and doesn't even say a word to anyone about the incident: El Silencio.

Creator: Aitor Gabilondo
Stars: Manu Ríos, Arón Piper, Almudena Amor

The trailer begins at the beginning of the story, with the murders themselves. Six years have passed and the time for the crime has expired, and Sergio, played by Arón Piper from Elite, is leaving prison early for his good behavior. While he could go out and inherit the house where he committed the crimes, it seems the law isn't done with him.

With his apartment fully guarded and monitored, the authorities, led by psychiatrist Ana Dussel (Almudena Amor), are still trying to monitor his activities to determine his motive and how much of a threat he continues to be. However, the process soon has to adjust to a new, previously unknown variable in the adolescent Martha. Randomly showing up on Sergio's doorstep and seemingly attracted to him, Martha could be the key to Sergio finally talking, or at least the psychiatrist wanting to use his hopes.

The series will consist of a total of eight chapters and was filmed in some locations, mainly in Madrid and others such as Bilbao, Vizcaya and the Basque Country. In addition to the aforementioned names of Amor and Piper, Muted will star another Elite alumnus in Manu Ríos. Other cast members include Ramiro Blas, Aitor Luna, Cristina Kovani, Viti Suárez, Aria Bedmar, Mikel Losada, Elena Sáenz, Estela Theus, and Miguel Garces. Muted is created, written and produced by Aitor Gabilondo.

Heated Rivalry 2025 Tv Series Review Trailer Poster

Letterkenny veteran Jacob Tierney wrote and directed the six-part series about two rising hockey stars who fall passionately in love. Sidney Crosby and Alexander Ovechkin entered the NHL in 2005. For more than 20 years, the Canadian star and his Russian counterpart have waged one of the greatest rivalries in the sport. They've won titles, medals, and scoring crowns, and both are still playing (with the same franchises that drafted them), having earned their place among hockey's all-time elite. Creator: Jacob Tierney Stars: Hudson Williams, Connor Storrie, Callan Potter That's the underlying premise at the heart of HBO Max and Crave's new six-part romantic drama, Heated Rivalry, based on the book by Rachel Reid and written and directed by Letterkenny veteran Jacob Tierney. Don't expect many direct similarities to Letterkenny, though. Heated Rivalry may have some comedic elements, as relationships between passionate men are often entertaining, but it's a sincere a...

The Hunting Wives 2025 Tv Series Review Trailer Poster

Netflix has become a haven for shows about small towns rocked by crime. Last week, we premiered Untamed, where the residents of a town in Yosemite National Park became embroiled in a murder mystery after a girl fell from El Capitan. The show dealt heavily with grief, suicidal tendencies, abusive men, and the colonialists' negative feelings toward the Indigenous community. The Glass Dome told the story of a criminal psychologist who returned to her hometown to attend her stepmother's funeral and found herself involved in investigating a series of murders seemingly connected to her past.  Hound's Hill centered on a Polish author who returned to his hometown to come to terms with a crime he may have committed, only to discover that a serial killer is on the loose, killing the perpetrators—and his name could be next on the list. So, yes, when I watched The Hunting Wives, I completely understood why Netflix bought the rights to this show. What confuses me is, who is this series ...
