The Conor McGregor docuseries will debut next month when the UFC champion drops the first sneak peek. McGregor Forever will be released on May 17, the latest in Netflix's growing list of high-profile sports documentaries.
According to Fox's official synopsis, "'Rescue: Hi Surf' is an action-packed drama that follows the personal and professional lives of heavy-water lifeguards who patrol and protect the North Shore of O'ahu, the most famous and most dangerous stretch of coastline in the world.
Star: Conor McGregor
“Each episode will feature these dedicated, heroic, adrenaline-seeking lifeguards saving lives in the harsh and often life-threatening conditions of Hawaii's Seven Mile Miracle.” Kester will write the first episode with Wells directing the first two episodes.
The Irish superstar tweeted early this morning with a link to a sneak peek at the docuseries, which can be seen below, saying: “You heard it here first. My new documentary series McGregor Forever is coming to Netflix on May 17! The only place to hear my true story, which is only just beginning!"
In the minute-long video, McGregor can be seen fighting and discussing speculation about his potentially career-ending injury, which he sustained late last year. “But it's McGregor, Forever, and don't forget it,” he says at the end of the clip.
McGregor, whose show was first revealed in 2021, is undoubtedly the most famous UFC fighter of all time. He has headlined all five of the best-selling UFC events in history and also fought Floyd Mayweather Jr. in a boxing match, which he lost several years ago.
Netflix has released a first look at its upcoming "McGregor Forever" docuseries, giving audiences a glimpse of the official return of Ultimate Fighting Champion Conor McGregor. Produced by Religion of Sports, the four-part series will premiere on May 17.
“Conor is unlike anyone he's ever collaborated with. As described by one of his coaches, he is a completely unreasonable man,” said Gotham Chopra, co-director and co-founder of Religion of Sports. “And for that reason, it's impossible not to look at it and be fascinated. Don't look away, because I guarantee you'll definitely miss out on something inexplicably wild."
Co-director Chopra also executive produced the series alongside Ameeth Sankaran, Giselle Parets, Audie Attar, Peter Berg and Matt Goldberg.
