TLC is known for bringing exciting reality series to television screens and its loyal viewers for the past few years. Match Me Abroad is the network's attempt to present international love stories, much like its staple show 90 Day Fiancé. The format of the upcoming series will certainly arouse the interest of viewers.
The reality show will feature seven cast members: Harold, Michelle, Stanika, Mark, Susan, Nathaly and Chad, who are looking to find love and a partner for life in a completely different country.
The Match Me Abroad cast members will collaborate with matchmakers from Morocco (Nina Kharoufeh), Colombia (Juan Manuel Niño) and the Czech Republic (KatarÃna NÄ›mcová) to help them find their soul mate. But it looks like it will be an extremely difficult journey to do it.
The reality show released its season trailer which gave a glimpse of what fans can expect from the series. The cast was seen addressing their issues with dating in America. While Susan expressed that her "picker" wasn't working and she wanted someone else to pick for her, Chad has a different story.
Chad was engaged three times and couldn't find the perfect match for him. In Match Me Abroad, he felt that Colombian women respected marriage more than American women, and felt that a matchmaker would be the best way to further his journey to find a partner, potentially abroad.
Aspirants will make their way abroad and seek the help of matchmakers to date different people. However, not all of them end up being successful as they are met with rejection, players, conflicts and more. The cast members will not be alone on the journey, as they will also be navigating the family's views and opinions on the journey.
In another confessional, Nina expressed that finding love was difficult, but doing the same abroad was even more difficult.
Meanwhile, she saw Susan on a rather disturbing date, after which she noticed that her matchmaker, John, was wasting his time. Elsewhere, Chad seemed confident in one of his matches, but he was seen leaving as soon as he was met with skepticism.
Harold, for his part, was seen taking a ring out of his pocket and confessing his love to a woman. Match Me Abroad's matchmakers noted that the cast might face rejection, but it was all part of the process. They also expressed that they can only help their clients find matches, but that it is up to them to take it forward.
