Apple TV+ has launched the first trailer and launch window for Foundation season 2, its epic adaptation of Isaac Asimov's literary work science fiction. The story follows a group of renegades that challenge the galactic empire to avoid the destruction of humanity.
Foundation season 1 follows the psychohistorian Hari Seldon (Jared Harris) while occursing a formula that perfectly predicts the end of the galactic empire and the destruction of human society. To preserve knowledge and ensure that humanity can prosper in the future, Hari helps build the base, a group of rebels that challenge the empire once those in charge of the position refuse to pay attention to Hari's warning. The history of the series covers hundreds of years, while multiple groups fight to control the destiny of humanity.

The new trailer focused on the sacrifices of the Foundation, underlining how they left their homes and their lives for their goal. However, its mission is far from ending because, after the fall of the Empire, the Foundation will still have to rebuild society. In Season 2, the Foundation will face the crisis of religion, since leaders begin to use words of the divine to control people without hope they fight after the fall of the Empire.
To represent the expansion of religion in season 2 of the Foundation, the series is taking the new members of the cast on board. The next second season is adding Isabella Laughland as brother Constant, a cleric whose work is evangelizing for the galactic spirit church through external reach. Another new religious figure is the ‘Poly Verisof of Kulvier Ghir, a high cynical cleric of the galactic spirit church with a drink problem. Season 2 also added Sandra Yi Sigindiver, Ella-Rae Smith, Dimitri Leonidas, Ben daniels, Holt McCallany, Mikael Persbrandt, Rachel House and Nimrat Kaur.
In addition to teasing the new challenges that the Foundation will face in the next season 2, the new trailer also gives the new season a launch window. Produced by David S. Geyer and Skydance Television, Foundation season 2 will premiere on Apple TV+.
