The events of The Boss Baby: Family Business, Theodore Templeton is framed for embezzlement and is forced to revert to his former Boss Baby self. He bumps into his brother Tim and his two nieces, smart big girl Tabitha and her Baby Corp co-worker Tina. Together, Boss Baby and Tina co-lead a new field team fighting to raise Baby Love while stopping a new group of arch-enemies, The Uncuddleables, from destroying Baby Corp.

Netflix and DreamWorks Animations have released a new trailer for the latest installment in The Boss Baby franchise, the upcoming animated series Boss Baby: Back in the Crib. The all-new trailer was revealed on Netflix's official After School YouTube channel and sees many returning faces from previous entries in the franchise, including those of boss baby Theodor Templeton, as well as the entire Templeton family. While most of the original voice cast have been replaced on the series, JP Karliak and Ariana Greenblatt are reprising their roles. The new trailer focuses on the impending power struggle between Theodor and Tina at Baby Corp.
This new animated series picks up after the events of the 2021 film The Boss Baby 2 and sees the titular Boss Baby, Theodore Templeton, framed for embezzlement. He must team up with his brother, Tom, and his nieces, Tabitha and Tina, to clean up the mess he finds himself in. The series will consist of a total of 12 episodes, each lasting 22 minutes.
Boss Baby: Back in the Crib is not the first series to come out of the franchise, Boss Baby: Back in Business another animated series that takes place between the two feature films, airing on Netflix between 2018 and 2020. “The team and I were (and are) very proud of our original series The Boss Baby: Back in Business," said series executive producer Brandon Sawyer.
“We told the story of young Tim and Teddy, and I'd like to think we even stuck the landing before we returned our baby to the feature crew. But just as we were tiptoeing out of the room, we saw what Tom McGrath and company were doing with their sequel, and it happened: the baby woke up. And he was very hungry for more.”
Karliak, who made his series debut in Back in Business, will reprise his role as the voice actor behind lead character Theodore "Boss Baby" Templeton, though the cast working on the project will see plenty of new voices. The cast of the series includes Max Mittelman as Tim Templeton, Mary Faber as Tina Templeton, Krizia Bajos as Carol Templeton, Greenblatt as Tabitha Templeton, Alex Cazares as JJ, and Nicole Byer as NannyCam No Filter CEO Baby. The series will also guest-star with Andy Richter as board member Bradley and Kyle Chandler as ranger Safety Binkerton. Matt Engstrom, a multi-episode director for Boss Baby: Back in Business, is serving as supervising producer.
