Spring Breakthrough will premiere Sunday, April 30 (7 PM ET/PT) on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries. The film stars Keesha Sharp (Lethal Weapon, Girlfriends), Demetrius Grosse (Lovecraft Country, Rampage), Rhyon Nicole Brown (Our Kind of Love, Empire) and Akono Dixon.


Monica Rollins (Sharp) is a single mother who is excitedly waiting for her daughter, Vivian (Brown), to come home for spring break, which is her annual tradition. Days before, after years of tireless dedication to her work, Monica is dismissed without consideration. To make matters worse, Monica takes a second hit when Vivian announces her surprise engagement to Shawn (Dixon), someone Monica didn't even know existed.

She travels to The Gulf Shores for the engagement celebration, secretly determined to put an end to it, believing that Vivian is too young to marry. Along the way, she runs into Clark Randall (Grosse) at the airport, who is also Shawn's best man, and an unexpected flirtation sparks. Monica and Clark argue over what she perceives to be her boyish attitude, but as they learn more about each other, Monica begins to change her mind and may find that she is ready to open up to love once again.
