One of the highlights is the scientific journalist Jeff Wise, who was the author of the plane that was not there: why we have not found MH370.
The disappearance of Malaysia Airlines flight 370, also called MH370 disappearance, disappearance of a Malaysia Airlines passenger plane on March 8, 2014, during a flight from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing. Flight 370 took off at 12:41 am local time and reached a cruise altitude of 35,000 feet (10,700 m) at 1:01 a.m. The plane's transpondor went out just when the plane was about to enter the Vietnamese airspace. The military and civil radar of Malaysia began tracking the plane when he turned around and then flew to the southwest on the Malay Peninsula and then northwest on the Malacca Strait. At 2:22 am, the bad radar lost contact with the plane on the Andaman Sea.
An Immarsat satellite in geostationary orbit on the Indian Ocean received signals per hour of flight 370 and last detected the plane at 8:11 a.m. On March 24, the Prime Minister of Malaysia, Najib Razak, announced that, based on the analysis of the final signals, immarsat and the United Kingdom Air Research Branch (AAIB) had concluded that the flight crashed into a Remote part of the ocean ocean 2,500 km (1,500 mi) southwest of Australia. The search for remains was hindered by the remote location of the locking site. As of 2015, the pieces of remains that suggested that the plane had broken was found on land in Africa and in the islands of the Indian Ocean. In 2018, the Malaysian government concluded that the change in the flight route had been made manually from the inside of the plane, but why the plane disappeared remained a mystery.
Despite the extensive search and rescue operations that involve multiple countries, there were no signs of remains or survivors. Even today, nine years after the disappearance, no one can explain how or why the plane disappeared. Then, the question arises: What really happened with Malaysia Airlines flight?
Well, Netflix is trying to answer that difficult question with his new documentary entitled ‘MH370: the plane that disappeared‘. "Someone knows the answer: the question is who," says the overwhelming trailer of the documentary who also presents family members, scientists and research journalists who try to unravel the mystery behind the disappearance of the flight.
