A live-action adaptation of the Karada Sagashi manga is on the way from Warner Bros. Japan, and an ominous poster today announces that it will arrive this Halloween.

The feature film Karada Sagashi will arrive in Japan on October 14, 2022. Netflix has revealed the first trailer and release date for the Japanese horror film, Re/Member. Originally titled Karada Sagashi, Re/Member will be released on Netflix worldwide on February 14.

Director: Eiichirô Hasumi
Writers: Katsutoshi Murase, Welzard
Stars: Kanna Hashimoto, Gordon Maeda, Maika Yamamoto

Based on Welzard's manga of the same name, Karada Sagashi opened in theaters on October 14, 2022 in Japan. The film received a mixed reaction from the audience, and was also hailed as one of the best live-action manga adaptations.

In the film, Asuka (Kanna Hashimoto) meets a young girl at her high school on July 5. She has never seen the young woman before. "My body, Sagashite," says the young woman. Later, Asuka has reservations about the girl. Asuka returns to school as the clock strikes twelve. She is not the only one present. Takahiro, a childhood friend, and four of her classmates are present. Asuka doesn't get along with her four classmates. At that moment, a girl covered in blood arrives and murders everyone present. Asuka believes that she is no longer alive. Asuka wakes up to find herself in her room. She is surprised that it is the morning of July 5th.

The film is directed by Eiichirô Hasumi from a script written by Katsutoshi Murase. Warner Brothers Pictures Japan distributed the film in the country. The cast includes Kanna Hashimoto as Asuka Morisaki, Gordon Maeda as Takahiro Ise, Maika Yamamoto as Rumiko Hiiragi, Fûju Kamio as Atsushi Kiyomiya, Kotaro Daigo as Shota Uranishi, Mayu Yokota as Rie Naruto, Shuntaro Yanagi, Naomi Nishida, and Tasuku Emoto.

The web novel, KaradaSagashi, became a hot topic as the most popular novel on novel publishing sites, and in 2014, the manga version recorded a cumulative total of 100 million views. Re/Member, also known as Karada Sagashi, is the long-awaited live-action adaptation of the Gen Z biblical horror, which has sold more than 3.4 million copies in total.

Kanna Hashimoto plays the main character Asuka Morisaki, who in Welzard's original manga is a high school student who sees the apparition of a dead student named Haruka.

Anime News Network explains the story in more detail: “Asuka and her friends try to find the eight scattered pieces of Haruka's corpse at school and learn more about the Red Person who is chasing them while doing so. The Red Person hunts down the students who are alone in the school to kill them, and until they exit the school gates, the Red Person will keep appearing before them. When Red Person kills a student, she scatters the student's body into eight pieces and asks someone else to find the pieces at the school. If Asuka fails to find Haruka's body, the day will keep repeating itself and her and her friends will keep dying until they do."

Eiichiro Hasumi directed the film Karada Sagashi for WB Japan.

A Minecraft Movie 2025 Movie Review Trailer Poster

If you were to throw a bucket in Hollywood today, you could easily find a dozen video game adaptations in development, either as TV series or movies. They're all vying for the same thing: critical acclaim, huge box office revenue, or a sudden surge in streaming subscribers thanks to established fandoms. But it's a long shot: Will they become a "Borderlands" movie flop or a "Last of Us" hit? Next month, Legendary Entertainment, Warner Bros. Pictures, and Microsoft are going for box office gold with a different kind of game-to-movie adaptation: "A Minecraft Movie." Director: Jared Hess Writers: Chris Bowman, Hubbel Palmer, Neil Widener Stars: Jennifer Coolidge, Jason Momoa, Emma Myers For the uninitiated, Microsoft-owned "Minecraft" is a sandbox game that immerses players in the Overworld, a whimsical dimension made up of blocky, box-like voxels. There's no single story or single way to play: users can craft items, build structures, ba...

The Hunting Wives 2025 Tv Series Review Trailer Poster

Netflix has become a haven for shows about small towns rocked by crime. Last week, we premiered Untamed, where the residents of a town in Yosemite National Park became embroiled in a murder mystery after a girl fell from El Capitan. The show dealt heavily with grief, suicidal tendencies, abusive men, and the colonialists' negative feelings toward the Indigenous community. The Glass Dome told the story of a criminal psychologist who returned to her hometown to attend her stepmother's funeral and found herself involved in investigating a series of murders seemingly connected to her past.  Hound's Hill centered on a Polish author who returned to his hometown to come to terms with a crime he may have committed, only to discover that a serial killer is on the loose, killing the perpetrators—and his name could be next on the list. So, yes, when I watched The Hunting Wives, I completely understood why Netflix bought the rights to this show. What confuses me is, who is this series ...
