The police discover Suhani's dead body at the beginning of Class episode 1. Dheeraj sits next to her emotionlessly. The policemen question Dheeraj, who is from a lower caste (Dheeraj Kumar Valmiki), and thus he is treated viciously.
He begins to narrate his past and the events leading up to the murder. He was admitted to Hampton International School in Delhi, the most elegant and expensive school in the city. There was a fire at the Noorpur Khatola Government College, where Dheeraj previously studied. The fire was due to the negligence of Ahuja Builders, who built the school. To avoid public scrutiny, they let all the students into different schools. Three from Noorpur were admitted to Hampton.

Along with Dheeraj, Saba Manzoor and Balram Patwal (also known as Balli) team up on their first day and are the subject of ridicule and disgust from the other wealthy students in their "class". Saba is the valedictorian from her previous school and challenges Yashika, the academically brightest student at Hampton, for the Hampton gold scholarship; her the opportunity to study at a foreign university. Balli is handsome, though rugged and unapologetic in his own way. He is poor academically but astute in other jobs. Dheeraj cleans tables in a restaurant at night. Suhani takes interest in Dheeraj and Veer, her brother doesn't like it.
Her father is Suraj Ahuja of Ahuja Builders. The Ahujas do not approve of Suhani's preferences. They warn him not to burn his hands again. Suraj asks Veer to invite the three students to the party that night. Suhani has become addicted due to constant abuse from her and a fragile state of mind. Veer takes care of her but she has a fickle temper. We meet Neeraj, Dheeraj's older brother, who went to jail for protesting against Ahuja and Chowdhary, the local goon. At school, Balli tries to impress the rich kids by showing his Instagram reels.
The girls ask him to dance shirtless and he dares. Koel is impressed, but Principal Vandana's footsteps alert the students. For those who have a hard time keeping up with the huge cast, here are the student pairings. Yashika and Veer are together; Sharan and Koel are together; and the others form his secondary circle of friends. Saba has trouble adjusting. Other girls make fun of her hijab. Her father has a tailor shop in which she also participates. Saba's brother, Faruq, manages the accounts and deals drugs. Dhruv is the son of Vandana and the swimming coach. His father is preparing him to become an athlete and compete professionally.
Balli takes Dhruv to Faruq and drugs him. From their meeting, it seems that Faruq and Dhruv are interested in each other. Neeru talks about protesting against Ahuja with his classmates. She puts Dheeraj down for going to expensive school. The four of them go on a trip every night and break into Ahuja's house while intoxicated. They write “Ahuja is a thief” on the walls and escape. But they do not know that a closed circuit television camera has captured the images of her. At the party, Suhani fraternizes with Dheeraj. She takes him to a secret room where everyone is using drugs and alcohol.
Suraj Ahuja is the President of Ahuja Properties. Tarun Karla is Koel's father and Suraj's partner. Chowdhary is also present on stage as Suraj reveals plans for Ahuja Classique – a premium edutainment facility to be built in Khatola alongside the rebuilding of the school. Suraj knows that Dheeraj was there and has seen the footage. Saba despises Yashika for having sex in the parking lot (she saw it earlier at school) when the last few days the Hampton Gold is hers. Balli watches Koel on the dance floor. Dheeraj and Saba feel out of place at the party.
Koel dances with Balli. She was the one who left the panties in his locker in an attempt to woo him. Yashika is upset with Saba. She asks Veer to seduce Saba and expose her sex tape in front of everyone. Veer agrees in exchange for Yashika's favors in the bedroom. Balli and Koel kiss but are caught by Sharan. Instead of doing anything, he watches them from afar. Suhani and Dheeraj dance together. But she is too drunk and falls down. Veer goes after Suhani and Dheeraj but runs into Neeru. They have an argument and Neeru pushes Veer who is injured. But they manage to escape. In the present, Dheeraj confesses that he regrets coming to Hampton. If he hadn't come, Suhani might still have been alive.
