'Christy,' starring Malavika Mohanan and Mathew Thomas, is headed to theaters on February 17, and the film's makers released a sneak peek ahead of the release. The creators dropped the 51-second teaser on Saturday (January 28), which features lead actors Malavika Mohanan and Mathew Thomas.
Malavika Mohanan, last seen in Malayalam in the Mammootty starring film The Great Father (2017), returns with the direction of newcomer Alvin Henry. Also starring Mathew Thomas, it is about a teenager who falls in love with an older woman. Since the announcement of the project, there has been talk that it would be an adaptation of the Italian classic Malena. However, Malavika has dismissed such speculations. In response to a Twitter user's comment, "Malena aka Malu," the Master actor tweeted, "I love Malena but she's she's not my friend."

Apart from Mathew and Malavika, it also stars Joy Mathew, Vineeth Viswam, Rajesh Madhavan, Muthumani and Veena Nair. Anend C Chandran is the cinematographer and Govind Vasantha is the composer. Sajai Sebastian and Kannan Satheesan are producing the film under the Rocky Mountain Cinemas banner.
In the teaser, Malavika Mohanan clad in a sari can be seen walking around, with Mathew Thomas looking on in amazement. The charming teaser has already caught the attention of moviegoers and occupies one of the top positions on the video-sharing platform.
